Vikass17, 19 Nov 2022If they are uninstalled, how do they come back after hard r... moreI'm not an expert, but from my understanding android is similar to windows when you login. User 0 (zero) is the main user on android. When you disable a package with adb tools, you are denying user 0 access to that package, basically hiding the package from the user.
On the other hand, uninstall will free up some space on the system partition, hence the need for hard reset to bring those files back. It will delete those files that are used only by user 0. This is why you have to be careful with uninstall. Some apps are intertwined and uninstalling the wrong package can and will cause other apps to crash or worse, make your phone reboot on and on.
If you want to 100% delete those packages for all users, you need root privileges.
As for the files coming back after the reset: the files are deleted only for user 0. The main installation kit is still there in case a different user needs it (not user 0).
If I'm wrong, I would love some help on this topic from experts.
All I can say is that it works, I've uninsalled and disabled a LOT of bloatware. My phone is flying and I can press the Bixby button 1000 times and nothing is happening 😊
Hard reset means restoring the phone to it's original settings like when you first turned it on. It can be done through settings or from recovery mode (pressing a key combination when the phone is off to access recovery mode)

To list available system packages that are enabled:
                    pm list packages -s -e
                    To disable package (recommended):
                    pm disable-user --user 0 com.package.example
To uninstall package (at your own risk):
                    pm uninstall --user 0 com.package.example
If you want those packages back after uninstalling them, you have to hard reset the phone.
