second of all, they OPENLY state pictures are taken at 8MP with 41MP censor using oversampling technology.
Third of all, if you call the truth a marketing gimmick, then you're a bigger fooool than you look to be.
fourth of all, the 8mp picture quality on the pureview is at a higher quality than ALL of the phones with 13mp sensors being released today.. so its definitely NOT a market gimmick because their technology works.
If you'd actually used the phone rather than yip-yapping your blabber hating mouth, you'd know a thing or two. unless you're involved in actually engineering and creating camera sensors and how they work, i suggest you keep your mouth shut cause no one really cares.

Just great. A rusty old broken brick factory now wants to join hands with a half-bitten rotten fruit company to clean up a huge pile of plastic junkyard spread all over the world. It couldn't have gotten any worse.

[deleted post]then they should have given the actual count my dear..Over sampling actually pumps up the count artificially..and that was what i meant.is the quality of a 38 megapixel cmos sensor equal to this digitally pumped up count..?u decide. and then you will know that it may have been a humble 8 megapixel sensor doing the duty.That is what we call marketing crap..

Apple & Nokia are going to lose big time. The lawsuit of Apple vs Samsung in usa (bias) has been cut in half. It's only a matter of time for Samsung to pay 0 $. Stupid Patten form Apple are getting eradicate one by one. Apple did not create anything. Apple the best of the copycat.
