FatShady, 23 Nov 2022well, i really don't want to live if those are going t... morejust guessing what can be the transformation will be like. did you use nokia 3310 when it first launched? a phone with an internal antenna was the coolest innovation at those times. we couldn't image any of today's smartphone features like color touch screen,camera,speaker,music/video player, mobile apps,3D graphics,etc... now we start seeing folding designs. who knows what form factors and features we will be using as normal in 20 years but,I'm sure that none will look like today's phones.

yalim, 23 Nov 202220 years ago nokia was leading the market with feature phon... moreI doubt if phones become replaced by wearables or rollables by 2040. The bemused unborns will look and laugh at the way we use our so-called smartphones, because phones won't exist by then. Future generations will think we're extremely stupid when they watch documentaries or old movies and see how we're holding phones while driving a car or crossing roads, because it's simply proven dangerous.

My estimate is that a phone will become integrated in some other technology, just like a camera has become an integral part of a phone now. That future technology will become an organically integral part of the human body. I don't think future generations will accept carrying a brick that they have to constantly update and charge all the time, just like our generation don't carry pen and paper with them anymore.

I doubt if future generations will communicate verbally, because verbal communication is prone to error and misunderstanding. My neighbors don't talk with each other for example. There will be no need or reason to make phone calls, just like nobody send paper letters nowadays. Phones, in their current form, will gradually disappear, just like pen and paper are rapidly disappearing in Sweden.

So Daniel Arsham, it's game over!

who in his/her right mind will still carrying it 20 years later?

Why are people so obsessed with appearance... It's a disease!

                              Gimme Xiaomi 13, 12T/pro is crap ...

As much as I don't like big phones or strange backs, this is a pretty cool idea even if I'm not a fan of the art piece.

It's a presonal taste... maybe looks beautiful for some but for me i'd rather have another artwork than that one.. or personalized name
