Honor Magic Vs in for review

Huawei and Honor both have a problem with G5 licensing. That's ok with me but I am not sure Honor will go world-wide with 4G. (Would be happy with CN version with 4G.) The Ultra will have a stylus and then the the sparks will fly. Want me to buy it? Yeah, make it with pop up selfie and audio jack. Prefer side mounted fingerprint reader and so it is one down and two to go. Software is tops already.

I also know people that keep their phones past 2-3 years because the hardware usually remains intact once you're not reckless. The newer models have better specs most people can live without and I don't believe the majority of people care about software updates.
On the other hand foldables still have a stigma the hardware will fail over time. The design continues to be refined to make them more durable and build consumer confidence. That's why it's more likely people upgrade their foldable in a shorter period. That's not an issue with slab phones.

If there is no security updates that phone would get bad resell value and some people do not want to give phone with no security updates to relative.
I personally buy flagship phones about every 2 years before upgrading and just sell it for a good money.
I find it very disturbing that some people still is okay with phones having abysmal software support, we deserve better, our planet deserve better.

I think this might be slightly too big to use as a daily driver, but Samsung may also be going in this direction so I may have to adjust to accept the inevitable.
I hope this review involves an in depth look at the crease because it seems to be getting worse on teardrop hinge foldables. Just saying "it's better than the Z" is no longer the barometer for me. They've been visibly better than the Z since Dec. 2019. The goal is to be creaseless and both the Mix Fold 2 and Magic Vs appear to take a step backwards in that regard. I also think the Oppo N, which has the least visible crease of all foldables, will fall victim to this trend. I think it's a result of a tighter loop/curve from designing a smaller hinge.

I hope everyone who wants to buy this(or any Honor) phone will know that Honor will give its flagship phones 2 years of android updates and 2 years of security updates.
Samsung is just so good with their 4 years android updates and 5 years of security updates for their flagship phones and foldables.
I bought last years used Fold 3 for 800 and it will still get 3 years of android updates and 4 years of security updates even if it is a year old model!
I think EU should just regulate that all phones sold in EU should have at least 4 years of security updates!

That's why people buy that kind of phone. I'm not even talking about pleasure of gaming of such screens.
