WhatsApp starts rolling out Message Yourself feature

Been doing this for years. The loop hole is to make a group and get rid of everyone except yourself then it became your private self messaging group.

I have been doing this for years on iPhone. Simply Save your own number with your name in the contacts and start sending messages to yourself. I send extremely important messages/docs/pics to myself. And make sure i never delete my own chat.

Cool to see. Discord essentially affords this same feature if you create a private chat room. From there you can make any number of sub-chat rooms to keep things organized.

This thing is not an updated feature ...this feature was available way long back
1. U can search for ur number in Truecaller and click on the WhatsApp and it will direct u to your message yourself account
2. Some of the Android and iOS user who saved thier(own) number in contacts can also access this portal by just clicking the own whatsapp line in contact card
3. U can create a self group for urself

You could do it previously as well by creating a group with just you in it.

Just create new group. Don't add any other people. You can now message yourself

I am using this from last 4 years....
as there were another few work way around....
message to self from internet (there were a few websites which offered this feature)

another way was if you were added in any group then u would have tap on ur on no. which would have given u option to message urself.

i guess, whatsapp blue also offered the similar thing, however i dont recollect properly about it as its been really long time i had switch to wahtsapp beta.
anyway, on beta apk, this feature is available as i see myself in contact list.

How about an option to not get your data leaked every 2 weeks? Oh, yeah, that's called maintaining your app's security by channeling resources into it's development. Guess they're too busy burning money on the Metavrse or whatever to actually do that...
