Can anyone explain all the hate towards the ColorOS/OxygenOS? Since from my point of view, ColorOS seems to be one of the better ones 🤔 Genuinely asking

DRCROC, 30 Nov 20224 yes of Colour os? Hell no. OnePlus is dead and gone. Are you a troll or are you pretending?
OnePlus international version has no color os so stop writing nonsense

Anonymous, 30 Nov 2022Except the SoC, the rest was not better than midrange Moto ... moreOnePlus 5 came out with a unibody back design while the only flagship moto phone in 2017 was Z2 Force which was the third Force in moto morce series, the first was Moto X Force

I own all 3 of these. So I know

P.S the moto Z play you mentioned was a 2016 mid-range phone with a glass back while OnePlus 5 was a 2017 flagship with a metal back. Perhaps you meant moto z2 play

4 yes of Colour os? Hell no. OnePlus is dead and gone.

I am more for great old Oxygen with 2 years regular updates than 4 years of today oxygen (color) os.

It will likely apply to the OP11/Pro onwards and exclude Nord models, which means only two models per year, or four if they release "T" revisions after six months. That being the case, it doesn't compete with Google or Samsung, and the patches are only bi-monthly on new phones. It's just another marketing ploy without much substance.

First decent OP was 7 Pro.

OnePlus 5 was the one of last phones to arrive with a size that's considered relatively compact today, before everyone started increasing sizes to gargantuan levels. Also it got 3 OS updates up till Android 10. Mine is still in good working condition although I don't use it often, it's still good for a second phone. PUBG can be ran on ultra settings (40 fps), something that most of budget phones these days still can't do

Rotciv Ikias, 30 Nov 2022So you are telling me OnePlus 5 is better than OP 10 pro?🙃🙃🙃🙃Side by side? No. During their time? Yes. OnePlus 5 humbled down other brands when it comes to value. Its cameras were great, it has an OLED display, the fastest chipset during its time, fast charge and stock-like android with more features all for a few hundred bucks less. Now, there are better phones than the 10 Pro which cost fairly the same

Nice to see Android manufactures are closing the gap between Android and Apple software longevity. Even A53 will get 4 software updates, great. Hope Xiaomi and others will follow.

this long term software support is very good for consumers. 1-2 year old flagships can be purchased in a new midranger price and they will still be updated for 2-3 more years in the future. hope more manufacturers focus on releasing less flagships and much better optimized software for long years.

OnePlus 5 was peak smartphone for the whole industry. Typing on one as we speak, and I bought it used on eBay a couple years after it came out lol. OnePlus 7T was a fairly good deal, but it's all been down hill since they became "popular" lol. Nothing good in the industry anymore

If that is true, then kudos to OnePlus. The longer support, the less e-waste there will be.
