AnonD-1037771, 01 Dec 2022Clearly you've never used a high-end flagship with QHD... moreI used Note 9 a bit, QHD and all, didn't feel much or any sharper then my 12x with 1080p screen.

QHD is good on large phones, but on small ones like S22 it's basically useless for majority of people, that's why you don't see it.

Also no, 1080p screens on smaller phones don't look blurry, that's your confirmation bias my man.

Parsabella, 01 Dec 2022Fine for you does not mean acceptable for everyone else... ... moreMy brother in Christ I have used Note 9 and even there diffrance between 1080p and 1440p is minimal, anything below 6.2 inches and most people won't see.

S23+ needs 1440p yes, but normal S23 is 6.1 inches, if they can cut costs there and put cash somewhere else by using 1080p, then it's better choice for majority of people.

God please let them make a great S23 Ultra and not another downgrade.

The coral blue color which launched with S8 one of the best colors to date... Who wants a beige phone?

it is preferable if there is color of choice but is not the deciding factor. the only factor is it should be better than the previous model and with new features.

Anonymous, 01 Dec 2022I wonder if the green will be like that of the S22U. I miss... moreThe purple from the S21 was one of the most beautiful ones i've ever seen
But yeah the S10 in particular had the best and most color options overall, all of them looked great
S20 and S22 look pretty really bland. The green on the S22 should have been brighter

I wonder if the green will be like that of the S22U. I miss the vibrant phones of yesteryear - my S10 had a beautiful shimmering blue that still looks good.

Manufacturers are mostly going with muted colors it seems. Beige is the new color for S23? There could not be a more boring option!

The Sharpness and Clarity is way better in Qhd displays. Unfortunately my old Oneplus 8 Pro, S20+, present Oneplus 9 Pro with the worst efficient processors and relatively small battery has always limited my experience. Anyway now i use QHD 60Hz. Once i upgrade to S23 Ultra with efficient SD 8 Gen 2 and 5000mAh battery along with LTPO 3.0/4/0, then QHD/120hz will be my default setting. QHD displays are a visual treat especially on curved display phones.

I'm not obsessed with the cameras and the S Pen. I almost never use them. But I do use the display all the time.

Rosso, 01 Dec 20221080p is still good enough for 95% of cases at such size lm... moreClearly you've never used a high-end flagship with QHD+ or 4K display. Just use one of those and you will instantly tell how bad are FHD displays. Especially on displays bigger than 5-5.5 inches. The images look blurry and soft it makes my eyes hurt. The difference between FHD and QHD+ on YouTube for example is enormous ! It's like watching a completely different video.
Don't talk about quality if you've never experienced it. That rule applies almost in every scenario.
Samsung has literally destroyed the Plus version of the S line by downgrading the display.
Frankly, I'd rather have a great display because that's what I look at when using the phone 99,99% of the time .

Rosso, 01 Dec 20221080p is still good enough for 95% of cases at such size lm... more1080p at Galaxy A52s 5G looks bad. You can see pixels because of PenTile subpixel layout. Higher resolution could possibly fix this. Or another subpixel layout, RGB for example.

What i need is a good battery life, not overheating, just warm is good, im not a speedy fan, but a smooth use of the device without stutter, S series was used a cooling system in S7 series, a heat release, atleast put that in again for s23 series

I think S23 Plus is the golden medium. S23 is a little small but S23 Ultra is huge and expensive. I use A52. Its size was uncomfortable at first but now really good. Moving to USA soon. So will try to buy a flagship. If not something like A54/A55. One UI is good for me. No Pixel or MIUI or others.
