Nothing phone haters, have you even tried using this phone? Software is lag free, clean, bloat, ad, backdoor and spyware free, unlike your praised Redmi, Xiaomi phones. Vibration is super crisp and tactile, like no other Android phone. Build quality is premium, quality issues are prominent in India region, where this phone has it's factory for this region. I agree that design may not for everyone, but it's not boring :) overall for that price, software experience and functionality it's hard to beat.

Does it have a metal frame ? Wireless charging ? NO

Can't afford this? No. But if I were dumb enough to buy crap as overpriced as this then maybe.

K40 is 20 USD more expensive than Phone (1) in India while offering nothing better than Phone (1), besides slightly faster SD 870 which is only good because of its stronger GPU. and don't get me started on MIUI...
for your note, UFS 3.1 does not mean they all have equal read/write speeds, etc. for example Poco F3 is 50% slower in sequential write than Phone (1) in Androbench test, both UFS 3.1

I don't see the appeal of DC dimming. My Redmi K40 display looks amazing and doesn't give me headaches even though I think it uses PWM flickering.
Fast storage? Every phone nowadays has UFS 3.1.
The IMX766 isn't a pro. It's a generic cheap 50MP sensor. GSMArena's camera tests prove it. It's acceptable but don't act like it's good. Maybe it's the slow SoC but either way it's not the best.
"clean almost stock android"? Huh? Have you forgotten what the issue originally was? The software is not a selling point.
This thing could have the not-very-believable price you gave slashed by $100 and I still wouldn't buy it.

many got cought by Nothing's gimmicky leds on the back, but actually the phone is much deeper than that: excellent amoled which doesn't have PWM flickering because they implement cinstant DC dimming, IMX766 in the camera, clean almost stock android, very fast storage, etc. it is not OnePlus One level again,sure, but it is decent enough.

There's zero reason the phone shouldn't have had Android 13 months ago other than the company being horrible.
It's their first dang phone and the creator of the company previously made the company that used to be known for having the best Android skin in the game. Crazy.
As if it wasn't bad enough that the phone is just plain terrible for the price.
