As my nickname says, 870 is a bad chip for 2023 under redmi K or poco F branding. Maybe for redmi note variants or poco x series. I know some of you guys love 870, because you live in a hot environment. But it's old, and it's showing in top games. Most gamers use coolers anyway so heating isn't an issue if they use 8+ gen1 or 8 gen2. Aslo with better soc, better battery and camera overall. Poco F4 was F3 S (like iphones used to) we don't need an poco f5 that's F3 SS. K50 was amazing unfortunately not released globally. Idc about Dimensity, I'm not a ROM guy, i enjoy the miui as it is.

If you bought a phone 2 years ago with this chip, there is no reason to buy a new one today, in the same series, as it is exactly the same performance-wise. It’s been stagnating for 2 years now (cameras are not a worthy reason to upgrade a phone, in my opinion).

And as u know, more than 90% of laptops have 8 bit and ips displays, even 2000$ models. On the other hand i have 55 inch tv with Dolby Vision, and on this one i rly can see the difference.

Only reference monitors can do that which cost so much more than a smart phone,
But I can sleep peacefully if my 300$ phon is even able to produce anywhere near 10bit colour depth, because that will still be a lot more than that of a 8bit display.
Also do you really not care about pwm?? thats so crucial, it may not matter to you , but for those ones whome it does they will be pleased.
Eye comfort is top priority.
I am not saying this display is perfect, it also has flaws , ( it tends to over sharpen videos, some type of bug in streaming algorithm ).

I am using Xiaomi 12s Ultra, the 8Gen1+ is still a hot chip. at 32C at car inside a bag with no air flow will render some services at phone to crash. e.g portable hotspot will not work anymore. i would stay away xiaomi miui 13/14 os, they are literally the worst os in android.

If there are no stock they give you 2 option:
1. you can get refund
2. You can upgrade to newer mi/xiaomi series (example: if your Mi 10T pro have dead motherboard issue you can upgrade to Xiaomi 11T pro for free under warranty)
Not sure about other series like Redmi and Poco but they still trying fix your device for free under warranty if that not human error
