Where is the chart with the pricing increase statistics for every year per phone model?
Also, a phone 2 years old (Note 20 Ultra) is STILL 1000 €/$ base price and more with better specs!
Prices didn't go down at all for older models, they just completely raised the prices of the new models.

      This is great this means a lot less e-waste.

      I'm looking forward to people sticking to their smartphones for at least three years because we are long past the times when smartphones performance grew twice every two years, it's now twice for a decade. And camera improvements nowadays require pixel peeping.

        I would have even kept my old Mi9T if screen wasn't 60Hz, rest was still good enough for me and relative to other phones.

          that how rebranding or new lame (not really) specs works.

          gotta keep my phone until 3 years or so

              The phone industry is becoming stagnant due to lack of anything new. It's basically the same old story with every incoming phone, i.e to inflate the figures, glorify the spec sheet, sell for higher. The ones that try to do something different end up being just gimmick in the end (Nothing)

              Of course the sales will decline then
