Not supporting 3.5mm is producing e-waste a lot more then removing charger from the box. As you buy these wireless headphone that you lose a lot cause they are little that will end up in the wild or in garbage as most of it wont end up in a places where they collect the material for processing for second hand use.

This is just another a53 in disguise of next generation. Meh

Sd 4 gen 1 or sd 6 gen 1 make sense

Samsung want to become like HTC, Sony and LG etc and digging their own grave by not competing with the competition.

SShock, 10 Dec 2022I meant 1000-ish. Dimensity 8100 hits around 900-ish and it... moreWith Dimensity 8100 you need to sacrifice things, if you want to put price down. The only Budget d8100 i know from Xioami has bad display, very old camera etc.

So for A54 to use D8100 and keep price down things like Water proof, Ois, good display etc may be removed which doesnt make sense for fans of that series.

It make sense in A74 though because of price.

Hemedans, 10 Dec 2022Blame Arm, for chip manufacture to hit 1000 they need to us... moreI meant 1000-ish. Dimensity 8100 hits around 900-ish and it's a damn fine chipset. If that landed in A54 it would be excellent. Or D8200 at this point. 700-ish just feels underwhelming.

Hemedans, 10 Dec 2022A52 successor is A53 and A54 A52s is in different catego... moreWe the end users don't pay for Naming schemes.
We pay for device itself & it should perform according to that.

A53 is worse in almost every aspect compared to A52s despite carrying higher price tag.

& If you are thinking of for A52s successor then maybe you'll be paying S21FE prices for just another midrange judging by how how absurdly high Samsung is trying to price their devices with no/little real benefit at all.
So tell me who in the right mind would be willing to pay more for an inferior device?

I imagine 7 gen 1 will appear in some Nokia phone in next year or two 😀 (sorry Nokia fans, nothing personal :) While A74 will rather pack SD782 🤔

All the whiners here need to get a grip. Yeah, it's just around 778G in performance (in fact, similar to my Geekbench results on my own A52s), but even 7 gen 1 has what, maybe 10% increase in performance compared to 778G? Would you really notice it if nobody told you the name of the chip inside your phone?

Believe it or not, competition is good and this looks to be a good enough chip for the A-series, provided they boost the performance in subsequent generations.

A52s is in different category, there were rumors of A53 pro but no device were released.
