Xiaomi 12 was CNY 3,699, but when it was released globally, the price increased by 40% to $749.
Xiaomi 13's price starting at CNY 3,999 may still be competitive in China, but it would be ridiculous if it was aiming to launch globally

The focal length of the main camera on the smaller Xiaomi 13 at 23mm is far too wide, I consider that ultra wide territory, it's a shame all phone makers are moving in that direction.
It's a shame as the xiaomi 13 is reasonably sized and has a flat screen, whereas phones are getting ridiculously big and the displays are curved.

They're expensive & out of range for me but their pricing is much better than Tecno's Phantom X2.

No ltpo no purchase. Iqoo is able to include a ltpo 4 display at $600 why can't Xiaomi?

Chinese pricing is okay but the pricing of this phone when it goes global will be up to par with Apple and Samsung, therefore it won't make any sense to buy this phone.

The Xiaomi 13 looks decent but the price increase from the Xiaomi 12 is disappointing. It's now more expensive than the Vivo x90 which managed to maintain the price of the previous generation and it comes with its own V2 ISP. Judging from comments on Weibo I think many fans are slightly disappointed with the price increases for both models. Will be interesting to see the global pricing but it's likely to increase on last year too of they have the same mark up again. Nice to see a proper telephoto lens on the Xiaomi 13. The imx800 is the same sensor as the Honor 70 midranger had last year which is more or less the same as the imx766 so no real upgrade there. Actually, compared with the imx707 on the Xiaomi 12s it's a major downgrade.
