Anonymous, 12 Dec 2022Vivo says 80W wired. No, you're mixing the x90 pro up with the x90 pro+. The pro+ has 80w wired charging. The x90 pro has 120w wired charging. Not sure if you can access outside China but below is the link

Sony Ericsson, Nokia and I think even Samsung had phones that could more than just call and text. But nice to hear how young you are.

They give the phones fast charging so the batteries degrade faster and with replacements being discouraged because of the non removable backs, you're encouraged and even forced to buy a new phone because now the battery doesn't last 2 hours
I know how corporate greed work. Everything they do is to get people to buy their phones and once they do they try to make sure they don't keep the phone for years and instead upgrade yearly

Sin, 12 Dec 2022I much prefer not have my battery and smartphone internal a... moreHuh... For crying out loud! Even a quick google search clears this.
Fast-charging batteries work in two phases. The first phase applies a blast of voltage to the empty or nearly empty battery. This gives you that blazing charge of from 50% to 70% in the first 10, 15 or 30 minutes. That's because during the first phase of charging, batteries can absorb a charge quickly without major negative effects on their long-term health.
You know how it seems to take as long to fill up that last 20% or 30% of the battery as it does to charge the first 70% or 80%? That last part is the second charging phase, where phone-makers have to slow down and carefully manage the charging speed or else the charge process actually could damage the battery.

Idk why everyone is so obsessed with ridiculously high watt charging
My S22 with a 25w charger fully charges in under an hour
It wasn't so long ago when phones used to take 3 hours to charge and even more if you were using a mid range one so taking less than an hour is lightning fast and enough in my book but i guess people wan't their phone to go from 0 to 100% in 5 mins or something, that's a good way to kill the battery so i'd rather stick to 25w thank you very much
