It seems like One Plus has lost it's swagger and is now only focused on driving up sales in "one specific country" for all their products. Completely different from what they used to do when they first came out "Invite only" to the rest of the world.

Yet another company that produces things they shouldn't produce. Looks like 90% of WQHD monitors nowadays, no clue what they thought.

Qanon, 13 Dec 2022Oleds aren't responsive as IPS? Your pot dealer ha... morea flagship grade OLED display will last 7-8 years max before they have burn in , decreased brightness , green/blue tint , dead pixels , severe flickering or all of the above at once . but a cheap LCD panels will remain unchanged for 10-15 years of you treat them right .

there are several kinds of lcd .. like TN panel , VA panel , IPS panel as per specific needs .

Qanon, 13 Dec 2022Oleds aren't responsive as IPS? Your pot dealer ha... moreno you would not. OLED isn't a solid tech. FYI pc community is far educated than smartphone community . Because of that PC manufacturer share a common ideology of longevity over flashy features .

there are not many OLED displays because it comes with a major flaw of burn in. UI components like Taskbar tend to stay in one place for all it's lifetime which causes OLED displays to leave chronic burn in at those part of panels.

other than that all OLED suffer from inevitable PWM flickering. you can find flickering in any OLED phones even flagships . a constant pc user can make do with a little inaccurate colour on his display but flickering on such big panels are hazardous

it is arrogant to say a person who buys a pc is broke to afford an OLED display

Your pot dealer has better knowledge of display panels. If only OLED was not prohibitively expensive, you'd see many more OLED options.

uplink, 13 Dec 2022Yeah, iPS "gaming" monitor at the end of 2022, wh... moreOLED monitors are still far from reaching mainstream status and can't hold a candle to IPS LCD monitors in terms of market share. They're still very expensive, and aren't as responsive for gaming.

In fact OnePlus have made the correct decision to produce an IPS LCD panel. It makes perfect sense for a company to enter a new market through it's widest segment instead of targeting a niche one that won't generate them much profit and won't help them gain any market share either.

Then again, you clearly know absolutely nothing on this matter. You're just another casual who overestimates his comprehension of a subject matter and goes on to ramble about it, hoping to sound smart.

I though it would be an OLED monitor. For this monitor they don't seem to have much of distinguishing factor.
For, IPS monitors, there are already better players in the market than One Plus.

CargoJoe, 12 Dec 2022No they don't have Gsync. It's written there. ... moreI didn't read the whole article before writing that . there are miles difference between gsync and freesync . I myself have a freesync lg monitor with amd apu . but my friend's rig with Nvidia dedicated gpu and BenQ gsync display is just fluid . I'm not saying freesync is trash or anything . it's better than nothing.

if someone is making a gaming display first time , how cheap of them not to have gsync ? even 80 dollar monitors have freesync . everyone has it because it's free and requires no additional hardware . have some passion one plus . you know what , I don't think one plus has any contribution in this . neither designing nor manufacturering . it's just a license game

These are good but there is no reason to buy them over already known brands in the monitor space except Ur a really really deep OnePlus fan

Hey OnePlus, sell your TVs and monitors outside of India

Ultra Gear EVE Spectrum or Odyssey Oneplus these are not phones.
I Higley recommend to wait for actual tests and reviews don't pre order 😒 😕.
