joe nodden, 16 Dec 20221) None of that is legacy technology. Especially not micro ... moreSD cards are pointless in a 5G world. I have not missed them once. It's faster, easier and safer to use cloud storage. It is legacy AF.
When anyone talks about Samsung flagships they are talking about the S series. That is as widely known as Microsoft selling Microsoft Office. Pointless non-argument, again.
If you hate the fact that Samsung is AMOLED, then don't waste my time replying to me? Google AMOLED and find out who owns the trademark.

Why are you fighting innovation? If manufacturers actually adopted this instead of copying, the technology would improve ffs. It's been over 2 dang years! We've seen more useless and horrible clamshell foldables than we've seen under display cameras!

Anonymous, 15 Dec 2022Compare android flagships and not dirt cheap ones. They are... moreFlagships? Like Google's Pixel 7 Pro? With the slow "Tensor Core 2" made by Samsung? Or like every Android flagship launched between early 2021 through half of 2022 that used more horrible chips made by Samsung that overheat because they can't make an efficient architecture for the life of them? Or all the flagships with many of the issues I mentioned before? Because a lot of those aren't just issues found in cheap phones.

Especially not micro sd card slots when Samsung is still offering mere 128 gig base models on the S23 Ultra. And the guy who replied to you that you ignored explained why jacks aren't either.
2) When the hell did I ever mention Galaxy S series? When did I mention Samsung?
3) My nonsense? Did you not just spout absolute nonsense about AMOLEDs on the Galaxy S series?

Anonymous, 14 Dec 20221. Safetynet almost killed custom rom + root community enti... moreI have a doubt in last point. Even if updates and security patches ends you can use the phone for 3,4 years more if you keep you phone carefully. So it means 3 years of update support + 3-4 more years. Minimum of 5-7 years right.
And mostly updates just slow down the mid range and low end market phones. Better to get a phone with stable latest OS without bugs and just use it for long time. This update cycles and releases are also planned obsolescence.
For example, I got a Nokia 2.4 model. It came with Android 10. That time it had more than 1.5gb of ram remaining in my 3gb ram average. Then Android 11 came average free memory became 1gb. Then after Android 12 now free memory is just 400mb average. I'm not a power user so it works fine for me. I just need my company authentication apps and daily attendance app, browser for these blog reading, YouTube, IM & phone calls.
Better to not ask for updates as most comes with bugs. Just ask for performance improvements and bug fixes. Only if your work needs latest OS get one. Else use old phones. Even Android 8,9 based phones are working fine.
For the Android 8, 9 are simpler neat Android versions.

Thank you China and EU for standing up to American firms and protect consumers. Can you believe Apple is planning to take a cut on sales made on a 3rd party app store? That's like Microsoft taking a cut when you buy a game through Steam because "it runs on Windows"

joe nodden, 15 Dec 2022Yeah tell that "technologically superior" bs to t... moreYes, technologically superior means abandoning legacy technology.
Samsung is the only brand in the world capable of delivering lossless hi-res audio over Bluetooth. So, why have headphone jacks and pretend in 1989? That is what you do when you do technology better than the rest. When YOUR sci-fi is everyday for them.
I mean, Samsung is AMOLED, what the F are you on about LCD on the Galaxy S phones? The S series has existed for one and a half decades and Samsung has used AMOLED since before the first Galaxy S.
The rest of your nonsense made even less sense, so not even going to bother deconstructing your brain freeze there.

If people don't like it they don't have to enable it, its better that people at least have a choice! You should be able to install any software on a device you own. Millions of Android and Windows users manage fine without problems but Apple like to pretend its a nightmare so they can keep the App Store a monopoly.

Apple's loop-hole: still being able to charge 30% for any transaction and purchase.
You can put your app in our own store, and we take 30%
Or you can run your own app store with all the associated costs, and we will still take 30%.
