YUKI93, 26 Dec 2022My only theory as to why Xiaomi won't release the 12S ... moreSony has very limited countries in which it's available so I doubt that was the reason. I can only speculate that they had planned for the Xiaomi 12 Ultra to go Global but because of the 12 and 12 Pro debacle of having the power hungry Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 they decided to cancel it. The 12S Ultra was their answer but it debuted too late so they probably decided to just release it to the Chinese Market alone where it doesn't have to wait several months to release it globally due to some regulations they have to checklist, additional custom fees and such.

Kurokaze, 26 Dec 2022Xiaomi really shot their foot when they further diversified... moreThis diversification will kill the company one day. They have to learn something from top companies.

Xiaomi really shot their foot when they further diversified their Redmi Note Series. The 10 Series was fine with just the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10S and the Redmi Note 10 Pro for the Global. The 11 Series having two more additional categories in between made so much confusion in the Global market, we had the Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11S, Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, Redmi Note Pro+ 5G. People assumed that the Redmi Note 11 Pro would be the successor to the Redmi Note 10 Pro but it's actually the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G which is the successor and the Redmi Note 11 Pro is actually the successor to the Redmi Note 10S. The Indian Redmi Note Series was even more confusing with the appearance of the Redmi Note T and Redmi Note E Series consisting of several phone categories and the successor of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max was called the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge 5G

Do Xiaomi really need to make 18 different SKUs for one series? Why don't Xiaomi just stick to just one name and use it throughout the world. Samsung is also doing the same with the Galaxy F, and let's not forget BBK.
