[deleted post]He's right. The chinese brands only live thanks to heavy support from the state, on the free market they would be dead by now.

Seriously, let them (consumers) buy what they want. Don't force your opinion 😛

Loser: Xiaomi as the whole. Dropping sales, zero innovation, leaving international market.
Winner: Samsung.

My only theory as to why Xiaomi won't release the 12S Ultra into the Global market is because of customs and shipping tax. If you look for it at Giztop, the base 8/256 version without discounts costs $1,199. The 12/256 version costs the same as the Sony Xperia 1 iv with the same configuration and I can't see any reason to pick the Xiaomi over the Sony other than the 1" primary camera sensor.

Apple - 66% of total smartphone profit
Samsung - 17% of total smartphone profit
Everyone else - Less than 15% profit
Chinese phone makers are the dumbest companies on the planet. No other industry is this embarrassing, where they sell so many products but get such tiny profits compared to a single competitor. Are they happy with eating scraps forever while Apple and Samsung dine like kings? What the hell is their actual game plan?

For example: huge decent screen(both oled and ips) audio jack and excelent battery life. For me, Iphone design look so feminime like it was made for american teenage girl.

Losers... moreI never really understood the appeal of ecosystems. I get it. More streamlined. No middleman. Better integration between hardware, software, and services. But I always found ecosystems as a way for a company like Apple to trap you into their walled garden/prison.
It's an advantage for a company like Valve as they have Steam that offers games. But with phones, I always want to try different brands. Owning products from the same company just sounds boring and redundant for me. Your suggestion doesn't solve any problem.
This is why I never really got into any console war. I ended up with a Genesis and Super Nintendo. Then I was loyal to PS1 but eventually got an N64 in 2002 and Saturn in 2004. Then I got Dreamcast in Dec 2001, PS2 and Xbox in Nov/Dec 2003, and GameCube in Jan 2004.
I think being a fanboy or fangirl for one brand is lame. Why not treat gadgets like a buffet line? Do you really want to eat the same food over and over again every day for the rest of your life? I compare Apple's ecosystem to someone having sex only in missionary position for 20 years straight.
This is why I ended up preferring Android at the end when I initially hated it back in Oct 2011 when I got my Nexus One on Gingerbread. By Ice Cream Sandwich, Android got smoother. I can choose from many OEMs. With iPhone, it's like Steve Jobs wearing that same black turtleneck and jeans. I prefer variety and versatility.

Lonteku , 26 Dec 2022It's not solving the problem, what about people whose ... moreChinese OEMs change android to look like iOS.
It is not problem.
Nobody would buy redmi note if there was a sub-$300 iphone.
If Apple had something simple like Moto E22, then Apple would have 100% marketshare in India.

Winners: Apple, increased marketshare in China
Losers: Those that desire iphone but end up with redmi note and install gcam to take photos as good as the Moto G3.
Want iphone? Get old one like iphone 11 and keep it 5 years, instead of buying redmi note every year. Problem solved.
