For me is samsung software very confusing (s22 ultra). At 2 a.m. I was waken up to notification to backup pin. Alarm clock is too bright at night and its icons are not intuitive. Many applications, which I never set up were sending me notifications ( among others report about phone usage or applications put asleep..). I have turned on notification for gmail, but they dont show when I dont use phone. And Call of duty is freezing sometimes. Camera was promoted phone feature but you cannot select european 50 frames for video. I expect from phone not to bother me by default, but just to work properly.

Forgot to mention that it's still not as good as One UI 3 because in 3, the notifications just slide down but in One UI 5, the notifications fade into existence, and you still need to swipe down more, but it's not as bad as One UI 4, where you have to slide pretty much ALL the way down in order for all of the notifications to fade into view

Every time I use some other UI I come back to One ui because it is well integrated with Samsung apps. I think my primary device must have one ui. Currently one ui 5.0 is great, plenty of customization, well optimization, exclusive Samsung apps. Thanks Samsung.

I never had any performance problems with one ui, ever since the first iteration, using my Galaxy S9+ back then. Last summer I bought my S21fe (snap 888) with Android 12. When I received Android 13 last December, really nothing changed in terms of speed, the device is very fast and responsive and smooth.

I have a Z Flip4, this updated has improved the battery a lot. With the previous version, I was ending the day with 15-20% battery, sometimes less. Now I end the day between 35 to 50% with the same usage (4hs screen use average).

ADRXANO , 13 Jan 2023One ui is a very ugly skin. I will never buy a Samsung devi... moreJust go ahead. OneUI's not for kids demanding cheap appeal in the first place.
In fact it's visually quite simple, while customizable, functional and dependable as hell. Sober setting menus are a good thing, while icons and all can be set to user's likings. Pretty good combination overall. I'd recommend anyone to experience things before make a final opinion, forums are often infected by troll comments. (Samsung software or updates for sure.) Spend little time to check things at least in store, but in person.
Some users may demand Android as pure as possible. Why not, if they truly know what are doing.

I have an S10e and I have nothing but compliments to make about One UI. Maybe it's because I came from the buggy MIUI, but my experience with One UI is very stable, to the point where I don't have to stress about it. With MIUI, I always had some to complain: A app that has been closed of because of poor RAM management, or a glitchy interface in some app, with the status bar icons all white in a white background.
I can be the exception, for sure, MIUI is optimized differently between Xiaomi's devices, but I really think that One UI can be, one day, the best UI, when Samsung finally improves the performance through smoother animations. Customization wise, you have Good Lock, and you probably don't need anything else.

newflesh, 13 Jan 2023Is that true?? Wow, damn, think I'll pass on S23 which... moreDon't listen to lies. Just when you turn on your phone for the first time during setup there is a screen with checked default apps unchecked them all and your phone will be pretty lightweight. Only some Google apps and fewer Samsung apps will be available. Done that in my A52. Though it is a midranger but runs absolutely fine. Go for Samsung. You won't regret and you won't find better user interface and better support elsewhere.

newflesh, 13 Jan 2023Is that true?? Wow, damn, think I'll pass on S23 which... morePeople on this site are so critical. Any topic, you see lot criticism or negativity. I mean generally.
For example, why is this described as such a big problem? Idk how many apps I can't uninstall or little storage occuupied cause I just don't care about it. Either you get rid of unwanted apps or you make them unconscious. They do nothing and you won't see them if you don't want, no big deal at all. But okay, every user has own priorities anything may be the part of his decision.
