I've learned to live with this. My 2021 G50 won't get Android 13 but I'll still keep it for several more years. My partner now uses my old 2016 G5S and is happy with it.

G42: has a oled g52: has a 120 hz oled g82: has a120hz oled. The only two phones in this years Moto g lineup that wasn't oled were the g32 which has a fhd 90hz LCD which isn't bad at all for the price and the g62 is kinda meh.At Samsung you need to at least spend 280€ on the a33 to get an oled with huge bezels.

Well since Motorola is a pure android experience its always a win win on any market or when comparing to any other brand without a pure android experience but here on a plus side is a fact for much smaller price Motorola gives lot better specs than for example google or even oneplus.

how long is the software support for the moto edge 30 fusion? just bought the phone and looks good so far

The amoleds in k20 pro ,moto z2 play etc were so good that it lasted for years. Same with the case redmi k50i, that phone was rejected by many because it didn't have an amoled display.

But, not having an option for 4K recording is ridiculous too, considering that even lower mid-range chipsets from 2018 (630, 636, 660, 662, 665, etc.) were capable of doing so. Though, the reason for that is Qualcomm and Nokia, and not OEMs themselves.

Prodigal Son, 29 Dec 2022How can you just mark the whole moto g series as losers. IP... moreMy first Moto was defy. My last Moto is edge 30 ultra. Bought crap for extremely high price. Definitely not a premium phone.

I can't understand what's everybodys obsession with OLED. It's not like Motorola isn't releasing phones with OLED display.
G32, G42 and G52 have exact same configurations except screen. G32 has IPS LCD, G42 has OLED without HRR and G52 have OLED with 90Hz HRR.
Similar is the case with G62 and G82 (one is LCD, other is OLED).

If your problem is why Motorola (or any manufacturer for that matter) is providing an option of LCD, then it's your problem, not anyone else's. Options are always good for market
LCD is just a type of display. My phone's LCD is way better than OLED panels found on those cheap €200 devices.

                        Winner: Lenovo (ahem, Moto).
Losers: customers, update policy and support, Moto G series, entry budget devices.

moto g51 was pure gold . except it's size

The only downside with Motorola is software updates, even Nokia have already rolled Android 13 on their devices 😒

Prodigal Son, 29 Dec 2022How can you just mark the whole moto g series as losers. IP... moreThat's because software updates are really rare for most Motorola phones. Its not surprising for some just-launched models to only get update every 6 months. Some models were abandoned after less than 2 years. Their E series are the most neglected though; usually having no OS update at all and security updates are few and far between.

How can you just mark the whole moto g series as losers. IPS lcds last longer than OLED and are better for the eyes. Yes moto did launch a bunch of phones with sd695 and 680, so does the other OEMs. And who is going to use 4k recording all the time. Yeah, in the software segment they need to improve their policy. Atleast moto doesn't wreck the devices through update like some competitors.
