Customers in return determine if the product is worth their money and purchase accordingly. If Samsung could charge more while offering less, they would.

Along with Samsung, based on leaks.. OnePlus is going to do the same or even better with 12+256GB base. I would love to see more OEMs with 12+256GB and 16+512GB combos as well. Not sure if everybody need it, still nice to have if paying around $1000. Specially, if micro sd support is completely gone!

Good move, it lessens the pain of not having sd card. But no headphone jack so no buy anyway. The day they reintroduce it like Sony we can think of buying it.

Is this rumour reliable or not? I don't think Samsung will delete the 128GB option. Worst case scenario, only the 128GB option will be erased from the Ultra model

They won't change their flagships to 256GB base because Apple, out of all phone companies, is the greediest one.

But I guess at this point the Micro sd slot won't return in most phones so at least 256gb storage as standard is good.

When you have more options you're given the illusion that it's cheaper but it's really not
The 256 gb S23 will cost the same as the 128 gb S22 because that's now the lowest option

Great news, Apple should be next. Upgrading from 128 GB to 256 GB chips should cost only a few dollars for the manufacturers, and at the high end, profit margins are big enough to accommodate that.

But there's one problem. Why is the ultra still capped at 12 gb ram hen the S21 ultra had 16 gb? I thought Scamsung learned when they downgraded the S22 ultra to 8/12 gb ram but i guess not

Do not forget:
- not everyone keeps 10.000 photos on phones
- not everyone spends hours daily using 4K videos
- not everyone has sad life enough to fill 80-100GB with silly pay to win mobile games
