Anonymous, 05 Jan 2023I dismiss such tests. Those ignorant participants probably ... moreof course, but these where ONLY smartphone cameras
and now adays, most people's smartphones have high quality OLED panels that allow you to see these image in their highest quality.
also, you clearly haven't watched the video, because the pixel 6 pro wasn't in this test. please go watch the video, the results do show that people know what high quality images look like.

-Edward-, 05 Jan 2023Surely it costs them more money to make bezels that thickI really do like the bezels being a bit thicker that usual, it is better for gestures somehow.

eve... moreI dismiss such tests. Those ignorant participants probably won't be able to differentiate between results from a smartphone and even a mirrorless camera. Anything can look fine on a phone screen unzoomed and can be made to look better by increasing sharpness, saturation etc. You need to zoom in and see at the pixel level to comment on photo quality.
And no way pixel 6a can finish above pixel 6 and 6 pro.

I don't understand people who claim OneUI of Samsung is slow or sluggish. Just open up ADB, uninstall the apps you don't want, and that's it. Samsung devices these days have massive batteries and the OS is barebones as-is. Samsung is very respectful of privacy with allowing users to opt-out of many phone-home type of services, and you don't even need a Samsung account to use the devices in the first place. I think the only thing I hate about Samsung is that they lock you out of Knox if you install a custom rom and they don't allow you to turn off permissions and notifications for some apps.
The biggest issue I experience with Samsung devices stem from Google and Qualcomm's anti-competitive, unfair practices. Google requires an account just to access the Android app store (and therefore you are forced to accept their terms and conditions just to use your device otherwise you are locked out from important device apps). Google has many unfair practices in place so Android users remain Google customers, making the argument of Android being "open source" irrelevant. Samsung keeps trying to cease reliance on Qualcomm (by promoting Exynos) due to similar unfair practices like ceasing chip support after a very short amount of years (which is why Samsung cannot develop security updates for old devices or why you can't use Lineage OS with many Qualcomm devices).
These Google Pixel phones only saving grace is because GrapheneOS exists.

Anonymous, 04 Jan 2023Not sure about sluggishness. Use one to find out if it'... moreflip the roles kiddo, except the sluggishness, because samsung devices (especially the mid range and budget devices) get wayy hotter than the competition, and the battery life isn't as good either.

Pixel lover, 04 Jan 2023in pixel 8 series, Tensor G3 need to be manufacture by TSMC... moremaybe in terms of raw performance, but thats it. and raw performace has gotten so good over the years that a flagship from 2018 can still hold up really well. the tensor chip is made to make your smartphone smarter, and make your phone more efficient, which is two aspects that the pixels beat Samsung in.
