I had bought 2XL, 4XL and 6 models. Never any Pixel anymore. Bad screens, really bad loudspeakres, system for 12-years old girls with eye problems. Tensor chip in P6 is much slower than 888 chip in Zenfone 8 from the same year.

Anonymous, 04 Jan 2023Looks like a trash low quality screen as in usual Pixel fas... moreThe advantage of the Google Pixel phones is hardware security with the Titan M2 security chip, except fingerprint scanner and face recognition.

Anonymous, 04 Jan 202390hz refresh rate when the whole market is moving towards 1... moreMaking multiple different processors is bad for economy of scale and software/app optimization. Google uses its own processor and Google sells only a small number of phones, and out of them, the a series phones even fewer. So a lower-end processor just for the a series phones isn't economical and might not cut cost much.

When are these lazy companies going to cease with the punch hole?

Probably when people stop buying this ugly design. Aka never. Sad.

This doesnt make any sense though.

If Pixel 7a has a 90hz amoled screen and Tensor 2 like the pixel7, then it makes the more expensive Pixel 7 pointless.

People arent going to pay more money for pixel 7, for a slightly better camera and ip68 instead of ip67.

90hz refresh rate when the whole market is moving towards 120 or 144hz rates. Maybe Google should find some other feature to do cost cutting like the processor. Not everybody needs those extra performance.

"The front, however, is where you can tell that this is the cheapest of the bunch. Those bezels are rather shocking."

OH NO! Stay away from bezels! But then people turn around and say the HTC One M7, iPhone 4/4S, iPhone 5/5S/SE1, Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and Nokia N9/Lumia 800 are beautiful while having huge top and bottom bezels.

i hope Google will start to implement high frequncy PWM dimming. those 240 and 360 Hz it uses now is not friendly for sensitive eyes.

Looks like a trash low quality screen as in usual Pixel fashion as evidenced by the awful pink and blue tinting when viewed the display from side

$150 phones have better hardware and look better than this awful mess

I wonder if the vanilla Pixel 8 will get a design change since the Pixel 7a is basically the 7 with slightly thicker bezels.
