In my opinion a thinkpad phone should at least be either one of three things. A device similar to the XCover series from Samsung, with removable backs, big batteries and more rugged design; a compact smartphone for actual real business people who dont spend their entire days in their phones browsing Twitter or Youtube, so they would rather have portability and ease of use than large displays; or a productivity monster in the form of a foldable device like the Samsung Fold line. Other than that, it'll be just a rebranded Motorola.

But I guess Motorola doesn't have the budget or R&D for foldables yet"
Umm, 3 generations of the Razr that has had a far superior folding mechanism to the Z flip. Basically doesn't show any noticable crease.
What's held the Razr back has been sub-flagship SOC and battery life. The RAZR 3, released in China, has a Global release slotted for late Jan/Feb.

Moto Z series was a perfect device, considering the modular design, it had projector Mod, Speaker Mod, battery Mod. Adding a word "think" to the name of model is just a gimmick

Nick, 04 Jan 2023Does it contain a headphone jack? No matter if you have v5.... moreCouldn't agree more. Not only you have to suffer from latency issue, you have to charge it almost every day. No such thing with headphone jack.

That took them too long to finally get to use the thinkpad design. Too late moto, your phones have been mediocre ever since lenovo took control of the brand.
