Anonymous, 04 Jan 2023I want HTC to return :(((Htc makes phones and tablets. You just need to order from Taiwan

Business grade can also mean mainstream disappointment.

I dig it. Motorola going back to the rear backs prior to 2017 when everything started to become a glossy glass finish. Harks back to the Moto X or DROID X.

What I'm really looking forward from Motorola is they are rumored to release two Razrs this year. Codename Juno and Venus. They both could be flip phones but one might be the book-style foldable and just be under the branding for Razr.

We had a Droid RAZR and that wasn't a flip phone. I just hope Motorola's next Razr flip phone looks a lot better than 2022's. Or just go back to the design from the 2019 and 2020. Those are still the best-looking foldable flip phones in my eyes even with their weak hardware. Still looks nicer than the Z Flips and N2 Flip.

              what an ugly thing

So it's a RED price class. Ok.

As a ThinkPad enthusiast I've be been waiting for a ThinkPhone very long time, but this was not what I expected.
ThinkPhone should be one on it's own, not a rebranded Motorola, it should be rugged using long lasting premium materials, highest IP rating...in short, built like a tank with top notch performance.

Does it contain a headphone jack? No matter if you have v5.2 Bluetooth headset it's still disconnect at most critical moment when you have a call it is just far from being refined. Wired headphones still the best option .

As many pointed out about the fact it's by motorola it ignites some doubts for me.

It depends on the overall hardware specs. If it's not much different than the Motorola Moto X40, then it's not exactly a real upgrade. The only way Motorola can advertise the phone as a "business-grade upgrade" is to develop a lapdock specifically for that phone, just like what Motorola first did all the way back in 2011 with the Atrix 4G. Let's not forget about Motorola's Ready For Desktop Mode feature.

would have been interesting if they made a phone with no cameras as that is sometimes a business requirement.

or they could have made it with attachable camera modules which makes it obvious when the camera is attached.

Anonymous, 04 Jan 2023This is likely a rebrand of some existing model. Unlike the... moreWell it takes a lot more than that to make an enterprise grade product. IP rating requires immense R&D cost, say all suits are not tailor made. Conformal coating is mandatory in such product, good one costs as much as comparabley specd product alone. Also companies can't own a social security number, so no actual SIM. Launching such product means a lot in stakes for Lenovo, it could screw the entire enterprise business, which is the biggest after renaissance(IBM was result of NASA funding for last 50yr), the fold lineup has already done enough damage.
Employees don't care about employer property, it's critical what can be offered.

I am very interested in buying this phone but put off the fact it says "By Motorola" on the back. Why write it like that?! Or they could rebadge the phone as a Lenovo because Lenovo do have other smartphones.

LOL, business grade? Business/enterprise grade means long software and security support. Since when moto phones offer that on their phones? It better match at least Samsung Enterprise models with monthly security patches.

If I were a business guy with no financial concerns buying a phone. I'd directly go and buy the latest iPhone Pro or S Ultra, or any other mainstream flagship.

What is a business phone anyway? Any flagship phone is already meant to run business related apps perfectly.
