"USB-C’s complexity has undoubtedly been its undoing. Although the idea of one cable to support everything sounds very useful, the reality has quickly become a convoluted combination of proprietary versus on-spec products, differing cable qualities and capabilities, and opaque feature support. The result is a standard that looks simple to use but quickly leads to consumer frustration as there is no clear indication as to why certain cables and features don’t work across devices."
this port sucks. and that's not even touching on how they don't stay in, ever

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2023I don't know what usbc cords y'all are talking ab... moreand those three dollar cords last years
been through 5 usbc in the past 2 months
not everyone can afford the fancy ones that stay in
and even when they do stay in, it's like every time you plug it in, it loses about a hair's width of insertion
and EU making this joke connector standard on all devices lmaooooo

I don't know what usbc cords y'all are talking about that aren't complete garbage but they must be expensive ones with hooks or something.
hooks, like micro USB has even on 3 dollar cords because it's part of the actual design

the connectors on these are trash
"it can do literally everything a cord usually does!" seriously gsm?
usb-c is trash. you could slap those same specs on the cord with a micro USB head and it might actually STAY IN THE DEVICE
Between the EU's terrible online policies, and this, the EU becomes even more of a joke than it already was

AnonD-1058210, 09 Jan 2023It is crazy people who try to RAM connector into devices so... moreYeah, you have to use extreme force to damage the port. You won't damage it from normal usage. Anything will be damaged eventually if you continually use extreme force on it.

AnonD-1058210, 09 Jan 2023I bet it was fake scam from usa because they hated Samsung ... morePretty unfortunate, because Samsung never made a better looking phone imho
Also Apple's slowdowns are very noticable from their phones' 2nd or 3rd year from release

Akashi Seijuro, 08 Jan 2023I simply don't understand how people break USB-C ports... moreIt is crazy people who try to RAM connector into devices so hard that they will bend it. Typically women or kids .. I had few people with usbc docking stations asking me to replace cable but unfortunately they made it with thunderbolt protocol chips inside connector so there is no way to just use any cable plus inside docking the ca le has different l shape angles ans no chance to get it anywhere only from manufacturer which they won't sell and will tell to buy new docking station
Yeah crazy

Kangal, 08 Jan 2023Worst part about USB-C is that they're USB 2.0 spec.
... moreI like that usb-c is supporting usb 3.1 and 2.0 basically it is backward compatible.
I recently realised that flagships so mostl expensive android phones has usb-c 3.1 while smartphone manufacturers keeping low-end and and mid-range smartphones with usb-c 2.0 i think due to cost ? 🤷♂️
Not sure now if implementing usb-c 3.1 is more expensive for them.

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2023> The base USB standard has pretty low power limits (500... moreYes I made comment about in different article few days ago. That all this 60W or 80W or 120W or now new 240W is all gimmick and many naive boys here thinks it is going to charge exactly at 240w and in reality it never uses even half but quarter of it.
For instance laptops had 18Vor 19V and 3A or 6A standard.
But newer modern laptops comes with usb-c which has automatic switchable power output. And when laptop battery is charged it never ever pumps those 18V or 19V to the battery but always half of it. So around 8V or 9V and max 3A or 5A and laptops has usually 3 cells or 4
For the smartphones standard was 3.8 max 5V with max 3A or 5A
These new fast charging phones can do 5V and 8A
