Samsung is the new Apple? nope. Sammy still delivers great hardware and software while keping the whole package at a relatively affordable cost. They still deliver the best bang-for-the-buck offering among current flagships. -from a China phone user

That is just pure INNOVATION. As if the other features aren't enough. I now really have to congratulate Samsung for a job well done. Congrats Sammy! Smartphone of the year, indeed.

HTC One and Xperia Z are not real competitor for Galaxy S4. Because Samsung take Galaxy S4 away by inputing some extra ordinary software. Great job Samsung..

SGS IV is not as nice as HTC ONE etc on the outside.. this you agree.

On the inside though, you say that the SGS IV will not get trampled by any other smartphone (right now).. this I agree also.. but the point is, it wont trample any other smartphone either. If you honestly think in real life it will be different to use speed or power wise good luck to you. I do not think this will be the case.

Though the SIII design looked somewhat 'cheap' beacuse it was glossy, on SIV i can see some matte finishes, along with aluminium rims. Certainly my next phone, neither Xperia Z, nor HTC one (c'mon it's not even a real competitor), are match for SIV features and overall quality - the SIII fitted like a hand into a glove, I bet this will be even better.

It’s gloomy that dim witted people are bashing SGS4 without using a little bit of common sense. Again, the beauty of anything lies within the body, I’m not afraid to accept the fact that HTC1 is a masterpiece and the premium look and feel of the phone is commendable. But when it’s comes to what is inside, SGS4 can’t be trampled by any OEM’s flagships. A bigger screen device is a trend that was started by Samsung. This time, they have again gotten a bigger screen in a more compact body but software ticks inside this monster are creditable. It’s not just about bigger screens anymore; it’s about how user-friendly you make it. LED’s have oversaturated colours, but is that the reason why LED’s are more expensive then LCD’s? Sony made a stunning success with Sony Xperia Z and Nokia proved that they can still survive with their Lumia series. Apple iPhone 5 is definitely the best iPhone ever. But it’s an issue of personal penchant. I don’t like iPhone but I work with MacBook. That doesn’t mean I hate iPhones, I just don’t like it. I will be too satisfied to see SGS4 soul inside HTC1 body because that’s going to be complete package for anyone out there. But, if that would have happened, people would have still bashed Samsung for the reason that they hate it. People will buy metal and glass phones and then cover it with plastic covers and then criticize phone made of plastic? What a common sense that is! SGS4 is superior to other flagships in many ways and it’s pointless to explain it to some stupid people here who are flooding these forums without any coherent justification. Design is an important factor, but raw power is essential too, along with stunning monstrous essence. SGS4 is a magnum opus and an intellectual person will agree to it instead of being a dense teenager.

Please don't feed that pain saying more garbage thru out your mouth! Microsoft patented gesture feature? So where is it than? Where is the final product with that software?! BS man! If you're willing to wait for microsoft to deliver such tech you would have to wait sitting on a bench for a long long time! But you don't have to! Is like Nokia...in fact they had a vision a long time ago with nanotech where you had a flexible screen where you could bend it to form a bracelet or transform in a tablet. But hey, they never came near it, in fact they're very distant now with their microsoft partners! Why hate and bash the ones that are proving something and in fact Samsung in the next year or two may already have something like they shown on the Oled flexible screen press conference. In the end what matters, are results! You mentioned SONY for example wich I like very much but the tech they implement with SOLA where is it in other SONY devices? Where? In fact, where is SOLA? It was forgetted like many others in he SONY family because they launched to many phones while they were tying to improve until Xperia Z (and it's still not perfect)...the loss of some is the gain of others. Lumia 920 and iPhone 5 presented a similar tech and I don't see you bashing them...oh, you only want to bash Samsung, right? Pathetic!

hey genius.... the only advantage in having a higher ppi is that it reduces the possibility for detection of indivisual pixels by the naked eye....but since a human eye cannot really decipher indivisual pixels at over 300ppi.... theres really no advantage that htc one has over sgs4...while s4 has the advantage of dishing out more detail for the same image or video.

Samsung is the new Apple. SO overrated now. Look at other phones for once. Decent offerings from Sony, the Xperia Z which is waterproof, looks better and already has very positive results. And Nokia, their Lumia 920, which is colorful, beautiful, fastest touchscreen, and already has wireless charging.

Man, I hate Samsung now. I even respect Apple more now, because they at least don't copy. Don't buy S4. The best Android is Xperia Z. And Windows Phone is decent, get a 920.

I know every Samsung haters is trying to bash S4 by posting against only its design n material but remember 1 thing Samsung is giving a lots of great features in overall good design n materials & that's also in affordable price. Its not possible to give everything to any brand coz they need to manage cost of phone in budget. Everyone is shouting about some brand but making a flagship phone is not a easy thing.

The companies future is depend on that flagship so they need to set there phone price affordable to every normal consumer. If they use premium design, material plus starts giving every feature then phone cost should be affordable only to rich peoples & in reality its a loss for company so they have to manage n balance all things.

hTc : Best design, material but less features, no removable battery or expandable memory

Sony : Excellent design, material but less features, no removable battery, Weak screen performance, Low sound quality

Samsung : Over all Good Design n material but great features, removable battery, expandable memory, great screen, good sound n that's all in good affordable price.

& after all its a personal choice about design n features So i think its really better if we talk on performance.

Can you see the extra 26 ppi on the htc one? I guess not. I mean it's better because you'll have extra screen estate to enjoy that massive resolution. Even on 50 inch lcd/led tv the 1080p res would still look very sharp. And you know, the 50 inch tv is a lot more expensive than a 47 inch tv, right? And that led tvs is a lot more expensive than lcd ones?
