Xiaomi confirms MWC 2023 attendance, but no 13 Ultra launch

The company sent out invites for a booth tour rather than a big event that might unveil new flagships.

Its xiomi chienese it can be made of diamond and cost 100 dollers but still stop working after 2 months. so yea .....

    Xiaomi never fails to surprise and shook the world. Could be a first full frame on a phone! LOL

      could be a new Leica Full Frame on a 13S Ultra.
      Since 1" = 25.4mm and full frame is just 6.6mm larger or 32mm. So, why not full frame. Possible but not probable.

        If Xiaomi 13 Pro is 6.73 inches of screen size, then for the sake of the world, Please launch a 13 Ultra with screen size of 6.95 or even 73. inches!

          What else could the Ultra bring to actually make it make sense getting over the 13 Pro?

          Higher screen resolution that would only drain battery faster and without offering a visible improvement?

          More than 12GB RAM and 512GB storage?

          I see it as very unlikely, however if they manage to make a proper zoom camera system, using the Sony IMX989 then it would be awesome, but highly unlikely due to size of optics required. Maybe more likely to keep the IMX989 on the main "prime" and have a actual zoom lens on a smaller sensor. Again, not really worth it over the 13 Pro for my sake.

          Maybe later this year the 13 Ultra will serve more as more of a refresh of the 13 Pro with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 and periscope zoom.

                          Anonymous, 10 Jan 2023It's not even a year, why would they launch now? Global variant og 12S Ultra is not available. It's only in China. So, people outside China can't buy it officially. Maybe 13 Ultra is for global. Fight for Galaxy S23 Ultra.

                            Because they learnt something from their Xiaomi 12S Ultra, niche market does not interesting to Ultra series anymore. Not profitable either.

The Pro's position now is similar to other OEMs with 3 flagship lineup such as Samsung's S22+ and Vivo's X90 Pro.
