David Salsero, 11 Jan 2023True, hopefully Samung will bet on the new AMD Zen 4 built ... moreI love how AMD fanboys start spouting nonsense about what "people" need.
See, AMD couldn't even put out enough 6800U in the market, so much so that the cpu is almost an unicorn by this point, with just like 2-3 laptops featuring it (and high end ones at that, too).
It seems you guys continue to think Intel is stuck on Skylake days where CPUs were an oven. Tiger Lake runs pretty much cool while doing light stuff on my Latitude laptop, and I would think Alder Lake would run the same or perhaps better.

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2023Another overpriced Intel hot garbage You are right. They could get hot and louer if you needed the full performance.
I have a i7 12th Gen Book2 Pro 360 15.6".
But I run it 99% of time in "No fan" mode . This means really no fan. If I needed more performance, I would switch to Silent mode which would automatically switch to other modes, if needed.
But the "No an" mode is enough for emails, Word, Power Point, Browsers and many other standard tools from the work.
What I love is that whenever I needed more power, I could get more, but otherwise I just enjoy the absolut silence.
To make it short: it is not hot overpriced garbage.

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2023Another overpriced Intel hot garbage True, hopefully Samung will bet on the new AMD Zen 4 built at 5nm vs Intel at 10nm much hotter, consume more energy and less powerful.
Zen 4 Phoenix with: DDR5 or LPDDR5 in Dual Channel. + HDMI 2.1 + USB 4.0 + PCI 5.0 + RDNA 3 + IA Engine, a neural network engine coming from Xilinx and XDNA architecture with 4 Stream under load, being 20% faster than the neural engine of the Apple M2 SoC.
These are the laptops that people want

Come on, guys! The weight is obviously not the reason for the name Ultra. The current Book2 Pro 15.6" with just 1.1 kg weighs already just half of the competitors you mentioned. It can't be lighter than it already is. My guess is a bigger display, equipped with 32 GB RAM, 2 TB SSD, and an additional graphic card.
