Agree with the Jobs mindset. Touchscreen laptops make little sense and are a chore to use.

The future for ipad and mac seems as unified product. Ipad pro will share both ipados and macos, MAC prices will go up instead

If Apple wants to do this, they should also put macOS on M1/M2 iPad Pro and iPad Air. iPadOS is nothing more than a glorified iOS for tablets. Leave iPadOS to any iPad that runs on Bionic SoCs.

Why always too late?! Apple always releases its products that way, not like Samsung and the other Chinese brands, they launched those types so many years ago.

nick, 12 Jan 2023i wish it could go detachable That would be a great solution. I don't think this works with the current MacBook design. I never felt the need for a touch screen on a standard laptop. But if it's detachable, it makes a lot of sense. It would be amazing if in the detached mode it turns into an iPad, and switches to iPad OS

You have to love it when companies stay true to their words.. especially ones in which they were judging competitors for doing what they now plan to do :)
