And how important is the screen size when you are considering a new phone?

I'm late to the party but screen size is personally a huge consideration when purchasing a new device. I remember when Android phones went from 4.5" to 5" then 5" to 5.5" & when I bought my first 5.5" I thought it was huge, lol. I remember when the 16:9 ratio started disappearing & I was not happy but eventually forced to update my 5.5" phone I bought a cheap Realme C3 with a 6.5" screen to try it out & quickly became accustomed to it. Nowadays my preference is a minimum of 6.5" & anything larger all the way up to 7" is a bonus. Currently using a 6.7" which is great for
viewing multi media content & reading which is my main focus. I rarely carry my phone on person so a large sized handset isn't an issue or consideration. Unusually I believe the heavier the better too. Love me a solid feeling weighty phone.

      The problem is in my opinion, the aspect ratio, now phones have displays too streched.
      5,5 inch display with aspect ratio 16:9 are just right (iphone 8 plus)
      6 inch display with aspect ratio 18:9 are just right (LG V35)
      I feel streched and "bigger" screens as less usable display.

            I have currently a phone with a 6.5 inch display. My next will be at least 6.7 inch with minimal bezels.

                Anything from 6.4 to 6.7 generally works for me.

                  I have been using pixel 4a and it feels really handy. For me its perfect size and will mostly to upgade if same formfactor comes out in the market.

                      iPhone 3 was 1,1CM thick. That is 110mm. And because of it's small size, it was a pleasure to hold in hands

                                The xperias are too narrow. For me 6.6 inch up to 7 inch with 20:9 ratio is ideal. Current phone xiaomi 12tpro

                                    Compact phones are really needed. Specially in the budget segment. In public transport and road, and in any busy functions or any other place where there is a crowd and busyness everywhere, compact phones are the thing that comes handy.

                                      I am sceptical about those numbers. It would be very interesting to compare them with last years sales for popular productlines which features all sizes, such as iPhone and Galaxy S. The iPhone Mini fate apparently demonstrated that users might vote differently from what they actually buy?

                                        So, close to 50% of people voted for not bigger than 6.1 inch screen. And almost no good compact phone on market... iPhone 13 mini is not for everyone due to some terrible iOS solutions, Zenfone 9 is not available in many countries not to mention it's quite ugly and obsolete due to big bezels around screen. Anyway, both of them are still better than nothing. Galaxy S22 is quite compact device too, but nevertheless it has almost the same size as regular non-min iPhone
