All your data , photos and videos stored there are safe and readily available. That's why a serious power user demands to have this spec. Sony is the only serious company left to support it.

The rest of the world has moved on to streaming content anyway, you should have enough storage space for whatever your needs are.

Let's say internal storage has a 14% faulty chance, the sd card has a 89% chance. That's why they are so cheap. That's why they are so slow. That's why they are so fragile. Internal storage is much better quality and much lower faulty chance.
But enjoy the loss of your unreplaceable memories. Just remember every time it happens, that I told you so.

I'm currently using samsung note 20 ultra i did not upgrade to samsung s21 s22 ultra just because they don't have sd card slot.. wireless earbuds can replace 3.5mm jack but cloud can't replace micro sd..
If samsung s23 ultra doesn't have micro sd card slot I'm switching to sony pro 2 2023 or sony Xperia 1 V 2023
Sony pro and sony xperia 1 iv the only 2022 flag ship phone who still have micro sd card slot on it..

people keep complaining about sd card. like who needs them if 1tb storage exists? anyway, just hoping they added some headphone adapter or maybe otg for external storage.. and dont use that small box again. i wouldnt tell the difference which is iphone 13 pro max or s23 ultra...

When I select a phone, the absolute last criteria i select on is phone colour, it is so inconsequential. But for some reason it's always the lead in new phone announcements.

Sd cards are too slow and prone to failure compared with the latest phone storage. Yes, I once would only buy phones with an SD card but times change.
