I will happily recommend Mac Mini/MBP to any of my photographer friends who uses Adobe products, but for anyone who plays games, I will tell them to go build a custom PC or buy a cheap gaming laptop.

Great products, dumb design. Just like with iPhones, I was considering giving them a go before realizing I just can't stand the notch and went with Oneplus 7 pro and never regretted it so far.

In the laptop section, I went for Asus Zephyrus G14 and also never regretted it. Granted, it doesn't offer the same amazing battery, barely half this performance. But for everything else, it's just as good and much cheaper.

I'll have a second look at apple's products once they get rid of the notch.

GAMIR3DH, 18 Jan 2023What about games, and taller videos/wider like 21:9 movies/... moreI mean, if you're talking about the Macbook notch, then wider videos will not cause any problem either since you won't be able to rotate the screen in the first place. The notch will never cut into your video no matter what you do with it.

If you're going full-screen with any app, the menu bar darkens and everything below will be available for the app to show full-screen contents, which means, again, you're not really seeing the notch.

I would rather not have a notch for sure (Though probably impossible to eliminate it since that would sacrifice the camera quality a lot), but the way it is implemented right now makes it very hard for me to find it annoying.

96GB ram 38 core gpu. lol

Man, the max cpu blows for AI, multitasking and coding.

The question would be.. would you even have enough time to “game” while it blazes thru the processing lol.

Either way, i despice cutouts, is like having a broken part of your screen, it just that is from factory.

I think the biggest upgrade here is the addition of 2 more E-cores in the CPU, not the raw performance improvement in P-cores or GPU. This should considerably decrease the power consumption when performing non-power-intensive tasks (Watching videos, writing notes etc).

GAMIR3DH, 18 Jan 2023No, thats not what i mean. I want no hole/notch/cut outs o... moreThe notch doesn't cut into the content when you're watching a video because the display has a tall aspect ratio of 15.6:10.

From my experience, the notch is a non-issue and I forgot that it existed since day one, although I used TopNotch to darken the rest of the menu bar. I definitely believe that a "Hiding the notch" toggle should be added inside the settings so that users don't have to install a third-party app just to make it invisible, IMO.

I want no hole/notch/cut outs on the screen when consuming media. Having any cuts will make it annoying.

I even disliked the stupid notch on the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Same nosense as with laptops. Just add bezels if you can't fit the camera/sensors.
