They just dont try anymore, using the same molds is cheaper, but come on, the design is in desperate need of a refresh. Oh and their batteries still have issues, buyer beware.

Not only should this rumor be taken with a grain of salt, but importing everything to Australia/Oceania is expensive... especially now with inflation. Come on GSMA.

Everything has become cheaper this year, because its become cheaper and easier to manufacture. the screen, most of the cameras, the battery, the frame, the glass, the speaker, etc etc. These components haven't been upgraded, and work just the same. The only things that would have not gotten cheaper/ gotten more expensive would be the new camera and the processor.

Oh, the S23 is going to be so expensive. I better buy an S22 quickly! Is that what $amsung is expecting? Seriously now, I still think the best reaction to this news is just everybody stick to what you already have and don't let go. There's no way these phones will bring something new to the table.

For the prices they charge,... moreDon't forget that the note10+ had 12/256GB, a charger, a cable, earbuds, pen tips, a screen protector, and a USB adapter for $1,099, while the s22 ultra has 8/128GB and a cable for $1,199. the note 10+ had way more bang for your buck than the s22 ultra, the only thing it was lacking was a high refresh rate display. Also, heres the price for the s22 Ultra if you include the acessories that the note 10+ came with, and equivelent base specs
S22 Ultra 12/256GB: $1300
25W super fast charger: $20
Type C headphones: $30
USB a to USB C adapter: $10
Screen protector: $17
totaling $1,373 for a package you could buy for 1,100$ in 2019. Samsung has really gone down hill.

I keep continue to see people saying "it's a normal hike price, like the iphone".
But.
Why then the Pixel 7 and pro kept the same price as series 6, while still improving (camera, periscope, screen, haptics, speakers, antenna) ?
I mean, in Europe you can easily find the Pixel 7 pro at less than 800eur. Currently it's at 790eur and I'm not even searching seriously.
Who in its right mind will buy a s23 ultra at 1419 ? Come on Samsung.
For this price people will just get an Iphone pro / pro max, it's in the same price range and they will get way more when they'll sell it.
