I'm honestly thinking this might be the last year we see products from HMD.

They can't compete with other companies and are milking the brand with anything they can.

Expensive and non practical for today usage. Even older Redmi note 4 with sd 625 is wayyy better than this crap. Thanks to its community, it got unofficial android 13 too. Those who said 28nm is not battery hog, sure it doesn't if you're just using it for 2g call and sms. Try running today's app on that phone and see if it's "not battery hog". Even redmi note 4 with 14nm fabrication, 10w charge, and custom non bloated rom, has hard time to run today's app.

I suggest that HMD produce more compact and original smartphones, then they will occupy their own niche

HMD needs to give Nokia its identity back because it's a nightmare right now

hmd just playing with nokia name and releasing garbage to the market. they no longer have capability to build flagship phone. just fooling around, releasing a garbage with ancient parts. nokia should end their business with hmd, its just brought shame to nokia name

why are they insisting on launching useless phones? what is their target ? to kill Nokia once again?

On the plus side I'm glad to see that Nokia are making a more compact phone again but on the negative side it's a shame that it's going to be slow and lacking features.
I own a Nokia 4.2 and I was very pleased with it when I first bought it but now after a few years of updates and charging cycles the phone has got slow and the battery runs down more quickly. I picked Nokia because it offered on going updates and the 4.2 because of its relatively small size but I think the C12 would be a backwards step if I replaced the 4.2 with the C12.
I wish Nokia would take a leaf out of Google's book and offer a compact version (Pixel 7, 7pro and 7a) of their X and G range of phones because not everyone wants to walk around with a huge phone in their pocket.

Minu, 18 Jan 2023I don't think 28nm is a battery hog. My previous phone... moreWas your phone using 28nm Spreadtrum chipset though? Qualcomm's and even Mediatek's 28nm chipsets have better power management than Spreadtrum.

                      1. the camera island is gross . no need to implement one design philosophy across entire line up . a simple sony 10 iv like camera island for budget phone would be appreciated
                      2. shout out all other manufacturers to bring back compact phone back like this one
                      3. i don't blame them for going with unisoc. snapdragon should make more 200 series and cpu for the poor . enough of making flagship soc to please the rich
                      4. don't mind the fact it has 60hz . 90hz is bs .
                      5. ditch teardrop and revive beautiful nokia 3.1 plus slim bezel like design .
                      6.

Can't have great expectations for a cheap phone, but Nokia should put more effort than that.

Ancient processor won't handle even the day to day tasks. Looks like Nokia is just emptying their stocks of old components on users.

So phone has sd card slot unless proven otherwise
Kinda the risk of missing understanding of real specs reporting does surely do no one any favors

I hope the specs are made clear as soon as possible as getting blamed for a none existent problem just be a bad outcome for everyone
