Sin, 26 Jan 2023bigger battery is the solution Mainstream popular manufa... moreBigger battery needs to be put in mainstream phones tho, because those manufacturers sell only in china and there is probably no after sales support outside of origin country

IQ200, 26 Jan 2023In another words you can't provide me a proof of those... moreAgain, I can't provide you with links to anywhere, because my comment would get deleted.

Again, my vivo lasts 4-5 hours (depending on my usage) of SOT before I do charge it again, with still 40-50% left.

At any given time I'm only using one phone, I do have multiple daily drivers yes, for example today that is the Infinix Zero Ultra, from tomorrow for who knows how long it will be the vivo again. However I've only just started this life-style of switching phones so often, I spent many months on the iQOO 5 Pro continuously, so I do know how that behaves.

IQ200, 26 Jan 2023In another words you can't provide me a proof of those... moreLook, I live in Hungary, there is absolutely no interesting phone to get here and I was disappointed in Samsung, because my S8 had WI-FI issues, I had to have the WI-FI chip changed in it TWICE during ONE year of usage, and I had to pay for it, for some reason that wasn't covered under warranty. Who cares about having warranty if nothing is covered under it? I would rather not have warranty than to have this fake business. So I had enough of Samsung at that point and I got an iPhone SE (2020) as a gift right after it came out, battery life was okay I guess at the beginning it could last me a day, with power saving mode turned on below 40%. That's why when the iQOO 5 Pro came out I ordered one. Sure, I agree it was technically risky and expensive, but I mean vivo and especially BBK is huge, they should know what they are doing, and that they do. I always liked their os when I watched reviews on vivo phones, at that time Funtouch OS, so I was happy to get one, it got updated to Origin OS tho, but that's even better so it's all good.

I'm not saying that everybody should just order a vivo phones straight from China, all I'm saying is that in my experience the two giants, Apple and Samsung failed.
My S8 became unusable after all the WI-FI issues with it, and my iPhone SE (2020) had 86% battery life after about a year, with such a small battery anyways it also became unusable, it has also never seen a fast charger.

All this talk down on fast charging is so pointless, the heat or extreme cold is what kills batteries, thus the less time your phone spends on a charger the less it will heat up. Vivo (likely others too) also has their fast charging technology made in such way where it heats up the charging brick, but not the phone.

DarlingYext, 26 Jan 2023I did already mention it in my other comments as to how I u... moreIn another words you can't provide me a proof of those ultra fast chargings don't affect your battery longetivity and you blindly believed and was willing to risk buying imported phone directly from China with hope that it's not going to have any issues. That thing alone tells me a lot about you as a buyer. I have never and would never purchase anything if it doesn't have a valid warranty. Not judging just putting there as a point because I believe you are more eager to have a risky buy then for example me.

So after 2 and half years of using your vivo phone you said you didn't noticed any difference about your battery longetivity and how much does it last before you charge it again. And how exactly would you know when I saw your comments on many places talking about each phone you got? You have a lot of phones my dude. How can you know your phone's behaviour when you're using more then one daily driver? Nevermind, you don't have to answer that. Well.. thanks for your effort, but we didn't get to far from the begining.

Many people are having difficulties to understand the logic behind those charging speeds because there are many factors contributing battery longetivity and it's not just the heat, you don't have to be a scientist to understand what is going on.

The reason I still can't believe in all that because there isn't any certificate or solid proof about that specific thing that people want to know. Impact on battery longetivity. There isn't a single company which provided exactly that. Isn't that strange?

          Oh well...

IQ200, 25 Jan 2023Battery health certificate is not the same thing as saftey ... moreI did already mention it in my other comments as to how I use them. Anyway, so let's go again I guess.

I wake up at 7:30 in the morning, turn off Airplane Mode on my phone, start checking my notifications then go to work, use my phone the whole day, for GSMArena commenting, FB Messenger chatting and Viber for work chats. I get home just before 22:00, check my notifications for the last time then turn on Airplane Mode and plug in my phone. Unplug it after about 10 minutes because it would already be at a 100%, put it face down and go to sleep.

When it comes to my vivo, I end my days with 4-5 hours of SOT and about 40% still left, max brightness and 120hz turned on, always on display as well, and I'm never on WI-FI, so 4G is also always turned on. (Except between 22:00-7:30) I turn on Airplane Mode during the night because this way, when I pick it up in the morning it's always staying on 100%, sometimes 99%, but never below that, so I can start my day with a fully charged phone.

Hope that helped. As for sources, I can't give you any, links aren't allowed here and I don't even have sources, 'cause I don't need any, I have my own experience.

There is so much question marks about those ultra fast chargings. Wouldn't be better if companies would offer some transparency about their certification for fast charging? I asked a source to your claim about specific thing because I need a solid proof that mega fast charging speeds are safe for longetivity of the battery. Why do I have to dig that answer to a simple question is beyond me...

I believe you didn't have any issues for your phone but I don't know nothing about how you use your device so your personal experience is not enough to prove me anything. I hope you understand that I would gladly use ultra fast chargings if someone provide me a solid proof that it doesn't noticely affect battery longetivity. That's all what people are interested. That's all I asked. Nobody is saying how they're afraid of batteries exploding because of the too fast chargings. That is not the issue at all. It's all about battery longetivity.

Can someone help about my concern? Please guys.
                    Thanks in advance.

are nearly 7-inch big and very slim there is plenty of room for a bigger battery but there too tight to do so

This is not too say 5000mah isn't enough battery size one can still manage with this battery size

But why have enough when you can have plenty and future proof you're battery life

A big battery like 8000mah is no problem at all and would only add 40% thickerness

Of course they gluw your battery in your smartphone so when it dies you have pay for battery change or new smartphone

No you can't just change the battery yourself it damage the smartphone just opening it and most smartphones don't have a good ifixit rating and most people are not skilled enough too be able too change a smartphone battery without breaking there smartphone

Check this part of the article from anandtech .. even I dont buy that reason of yours about Samsung and their number games in everything but fast charging. Apple is another story since their lightning charger has limitations compared to usb-c.

"Finally, I asked about clarification about the TÜV certifications. This was also a stress point in an interaction with OPPO last year, as they were trying to portray that the TÜV certification actually is testing battery degradation. Documents sent to me at the time were clear that they were completely unrelated to the fast-charge system.

Xiaomi deserves credit here to properly dismissing that notion and confirming that the TÜV certification is only related to safety – as in, they test that the charger or phone don’t blow up. Battery health and degradation is unrelated to the (non-public) test-procedures and certification.

Unfortunately, it’s been extremely hard to get a clear non-evasive answer from any vendors out there that promotes such extreme fast-charging systems. Xiaomi here also wasn’t able to produce any kind of convincing evidence that would argument that the 120W charging system doesn’t notably impact battery degradation."

You see, they indeed have a mentioned TUV certificate but not for the battery health, only saftey. I don't fear batteries exploding, just care for longetivity as I am one of those users who use their phone for several years.

Still didn't find any solid proof for battery health. Can you help me with that one please?
Thanks in advance I really appreciate the effort.

He joined a Z Flip/Z Fold group on facebook where people share their stories of not getting there 1000$+ phones repaired because of a small scratch.

My only story with a Samsung phone is with my old S8, I had to change the wifi chip in it twice during ONE year of usage, because it just stopped working. It wasn't covered under warranty for some reason, I had to pay for it, yea sure at least it was easy because there are official Samsung repair stores pretty much everywhere, but my iQOO 5 Pro never had to be repaired during 2,5 years.
