deceptor, 20 Mar 2013s3 lock screen bug is not fixed yetI have not heard of any problems since the update, not posts on here or a few other forums, also i think this is on certain devices, I DON NOT KNOW this but most of my friends at work have either a galaxy s3 or iphones and when we tried this method of bypassing it just kept taking us back to the lock screen, which in my opinion suggested it was maybe a carrier issue, but like i said i dont know, i am still actually waiting for the update as well for my s3 :-)

AnonD-122191, 20 Mar 2013NFC / S-Beam is way easier and faster than Bluetooth. :-)yeah i know, but how to make it work via laptop or other tablet without NFC? its not possible right, i am actually new to NFC and have never used the s-beam feature on my s3 because i cannot seem to get my wifi direct to connect properly, i am a NOOB with wifi direct as i seem to keep encountering problems with it, maybe its my laptop :-)

What's with the new connector? Now you need a separate adapter and cannot properly "dock" your device and it's still no faster than the USB 2.0 at the other end. Didn't even make it backward compatible with the dock (dual port). How is that "innovation"? Looks like bankruptcy of ideas.

So yesterday apple released this firmware to fix the lockscreen only for the team to find another way around it less then a day later.....OMFG i just cannot stop laughing about apple at the minute, looking forward to collecting my galaxy 4, which will allow me to do what i want when i want, i don't even need hoops to jump through unlike with apple products

Ha... moreMOST of the world still uses this as the most convenient way to transfer data, not everyone has data plans or always on internet, i myself often find i have no internet connection due to where i live, and commuting there is no mobile signal, Bluetooth is a very convenient way to transfer data, i have laptop with 4.0 and phone with 4.0 and it is faster then USB, until such time as USB 3 is available on phones at least

they like to market the design and look of the iPhone/pad/touch, whatever! but where they have completely missed the ball is basic connectivity and media options in my book, it is after all a multimedia device, why should it be so difficult to just add something when i need it, not to have to download an app, or buy this or that, or jailbreak to get the best functionality, i have a galaxy s3 and ipad mini, and to be honest the ipad is DREADFUL, my S3 just eats anything i throw at it, media, books, files, software, games, as soon as a decent tablet comes out my iPad will be sold if not before, only thing is in its favor is the design, it is nice, but thats it

Oh come on don't be ignorant here it's not everyone who has the luxury of a wifi or cheap Internet.
Some people use a weekly or monthly subscription from their operators and you can't tell me that I have to hit the Internet fb email or Dropbox just to send a few items to a friend.
For us on the 3g or 2g network that is nonsense. In other words, no Internet no sharing of files.
Just admit that the bluetooth is a necessity for the iPhone & stop supporting every mistake that Apple makes (micro sd, fm radio, micro-usb)

This is the main reason why I like apple fans, they're satisfied with the features that they've got & give other alternatives for the ones they don't have.
And if (by a strange miracle) they do get something like a larger screen, Micro-sd, bluetooth or fm radio, they support it whole heartedly and label them new features (of course it's new the previous versions didn't have them)
However I do wish that iPhone had the live wall paper, or something similar.
