Yes I'm aware of instant messaging apps that you mentioned, in the absence of data subscription, how can you transfer files from one device to another? Yes that's where bluetooth comes to play.

          there we can use bluetooth.
plus apple has bluetooth but we can't share files with any apple user over bluetooth even with jailbreak.

there are hundreds of such things and restriction on apple devices even after jailbreak and not to forget the lack of functionality when compared to android

[deleted post]Well not just me dude, there are tons of people complaining about this restriction because they want it.

BT transfer for iphone vs size limitation of files on android argument cancel each other out right? haha

No need to get angry about it.

rcl4444, 20 Mar 2013The point is you can't ... your restricted. You can't drag... moreAndroid is not without its fair share of restrictions.

While android excels at file transfer protocols, it has size restrictions and mounting restrictions.

Cannot download greater then 4gb, fat32 restriction.
                              Cannot mount ntfs via otg.

But then again.. if you jailbreak your iphone or you root your android, both limitations could be removed, and iphone can use BT transfer, just as android can mount ntfs or download greater then 4gb.

As for itunes, you can use diskaid instead to drag and drop files.

But you got a point there, iOS is more restrictive if you are the only iOS user.

You virtually can't do anything without going through iTunes. Lucky iTunes works fairly well, but it's still a ball & chain.
