Vivo is yet to achieve Samsung's level of brand image, so they're all about proving themselves to the world and releasing over the top devices that tick all boxes.

                          Meanwhile Samsung, recognized by all, can afford to release the most boring, lazy, depressing phones, because their brand image allow them to do so and get away with it.

                          All S23 phones are boring & lazy even down to theirs colors, but because the name before S23 is Samsung, they'll still sell like hotcakes.

                              get ready to pay more? No i won't ! in fact i will pay a LOT LESS and buy myself a much much better, superior, and a cheaper phone such as Moto X40, VIVO iQOO 11, or OnePlus 11.

                                During the S4 days, all phones were garbage, 99% of them didn't get any updates and couldn't last more than a year before something dies which is why it sold so many units
                                But years later during the S7 days phones actually became good, phones started getting updates so the sales reduced
                                And finally nowadays most phones get 3 or even more updates and are made to last for years thus reducing the sales even further
                                When you build a phone that lasts you should expend less sales for your next ones which is why Apple got the genius idea to slow down their phones with each update until they became unusable and people were forced to buy a new one thinking their phones are getting "too old"

                                  Getting mine early next month. Coming from S22 Ultra.

                                  Best looking and feeling phone (I don't put a case or skin on my phone). I agree, the price increase is disappointing, but the above-mentioned things are important to me, and I'm not going to get better anywhere else (in the above at any price).

                                        Samsung downgraded the specs so people are more inclined to buy the ultra. With the S20 series, you could just get a plus and the only thing you'd miss out was the camera but ever since the S21, that's no longer the case
                                        Fhd is not a deal breaker to me but only having 8 gb ram really stinks
                                        My next phone definitely won't have less than 12 gb, i want my apps to stay open like i left them and not close whenever they feel like it
