vivo x90pro+ for 1000 euro right now and is a better phone in most aspects than s23 ultra yet they charge 1000 euro for the base s23 model??? what a rip off

we can't generalize, we all have our opinion. to those who have deep pockets, buy this phone, then tell us what your experience is. that's life, no one is forcing you to buy this ridiculously overpriced phone.

It's not even a gaming phone !
BUT ...
You pay more than other brands with the same processor ... just because the camera system. Samsung invests a lot of money like apple and Google in software post-processing (it's the key here of succes for these giant brands).
Other cheap brand may uses, better sensors / lenses ... but they never spend a lot of time/money for improving camera processing. ISP usually stays in its raw state with ZERO improvement : the result = bad image quality despite the sensors/ lenses or SoC.
You have to choose :
Camera phones : Samsung, Google & apple
Gaming, cheap phones : other brands.

Meanwhile, the Note 20 Ultra that was released 3 years ago STILL costs 1100 euro in Europe. And that's the base price !
Why? Because it is the last Note to have the SD card slot !
And people say that the SD card is obsolete hahaha!

They should rather reduce 100 euros from last year for "what it is worth". Numbers over inflated prices wins any day. Guess i will buy s22+ or s22u only, or may be mi 13 pro, but i really like samsungs oneui with so many mini features other phones dont offer.

100 euros more? What are they smoking? Nothing they will change justifies 100 euro increase, and neither does inflation.
I despise this corporate greed, eventually it will crash down on them and when that day comes I will be so happy.
Either way, sad to see Samsung join the like of Nvidia and Apple in overpriced stuff.

i am glad i bought s22 ultra last october. i bought it from samsung online store with online exclusive color red and 512gb of storage and 12gb ram together with 60gb 5g mobile data monthly for 40€. in total, together with one-time payments, i will pay 1280€. for the 512gb version. with 60gb 5g mobile data monthly. cheaper than without mobile data, because i would have to pay 1450€ then. nice, isn't it?
