Im too poor to buy an Android phone every six months or flagship every year. Buy an entry level iPnone every 5-6 and save alot of money in the process..

At this point i would looks in to Z Fold4 to truly experience something new and different in phone market. In my country new Z Fold 4 will be same price as new S23 Ultra.

This will only make the depreciation on Samsung phones worse than they already are (compared to Apple). If they just priced realistic from the go (and stopped the aggressive discounting) they'd hold value a lot better. Also, I don't need high storage, but on Android I would like a higher ram. Annoying I now have to pay for at least a 512gb model to get it. It should be standard on all memory sizes considering the price hike.

So basically now they're going back to the same price as the S20 series but you get less storage, less ram and a worse screen
              Genius, Samsung, genius

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2023How ignorant. Samsung is everywhere except North Korea.... moreIt is otherwise very good

The smallest model is unusable because of the battery. I've been wanting to jump back to android from an iphone (regular numbered model) because of the 2 cameras limitation but I don't want a galaxy ultra (small hands, also super expensive). Joke about being wall-huggers all you want but the moment Apple started adding 3000+ mah batteries, to their phones, their endurance has been great.

Remember seeing sort of same fake pricing leaks for S22 series.

You can have all of these flagships and megaflagships and whatever, I'm keeping my A52s.
Oh, and about inflation: it isn't 150% since 2017 when I bought S7 "flagship" at around 600 dollars. So it's not about inflation in general, it's about MILKING THE CUSTOMER. Don't confuse that with inflation, they're just trying to squeeze every last dollar from you.

Oh, and phones aren't counted in inflation. They're not a necessity.

Rimas2, 25 Jan 2023More customers for Google Pixel then.I am seeing 800€ retail prices for 128gb Pixel 7 pro. So I guess 900€ for more decent 256gb version. Honestly, I'd rather buy this than overpriced s23u if I had a 3-4 y.o. flagship waiting for an upgrade.

OneUI and DeX isn't worth the additional 400€, sorry Samsung

Where i live almost no one buys S22 & Z4 series, they all use iPhones. Why? Because iPhones are becoming cheaper than Samsung, while offering better things in some ways.
Your dear Samsung is making really bad moves recently, starting with S23 being 99% the same as S22 while costing way more. (Before you even start with Apple, they do the exactly same thing which just means Samsung is just following what Apple does.)
And yes, people mostly use A53 or less here. Why? Because there's nothing A series can't do that S series can do.
I'll say that Samsung is becoming Apple, but nah keep defending them for their ,,premium" quality which again, what i tested, doesn't even feel premium just random glass and aluminum design.
