As an O2-UK customer, I'd prefer the non-LTE S4. In the UK, LTE is currently only available on EE. EE provide a weak(ish) signal in my area.
Additionally, EE charge a fortune for their services; they don't have any competition as far as LTE is concerned. Vodafone/O2 have yet to get into the LTE game.
I'm satisfied with the DL/UL speeds that O2 (3G) provide, and at a fair cost...
Until A) Voda./O2 have purchased a 4G LTE frequency, and B) the price of 4G LTE has decreased drastically, I won't be "upgrading" to LTE.

Amazon.de, here I come!

ikeedzx, 20 Mar 2013I don't understand why people go for the "extreme"... moreI agree with you, I notice in a video that one of the main bugs of gs3 persists in gs4, the lag opening your contacts. My point is: a powerfull hardware is nothing without control

It's better to have lte than a stronger quad core CPU. After all the s600 is still a powerful processor. The word inferior just made it sound so bad but really it's not. S600 already demonstrated that it can handle anything on d phone with ease. Unlike the galaxy s3 which is a trade off between lte n quad/dual core. Now with s600 u get both a powerful quad core n blazing LTE. It's a much better choice than exynos octa with 3G. U get a Lil better processor speed but data speed u lose by 10X

Marketing talk about two versions, they have problem with Exynos overheating - next 2 months we will have only Snapdragon phones later when they resolve problem we will see hardware with Exynos on street.

Why are people so annoyed they wont get the Exynos 5? Seriously what will the Exynos 5 do what the SD600 can't?

There isnt good enough games, apps etc.. to appreciate a quad core. More ram is needed, so hopefully 2GB will be enough coz without good ram the processors aint gonna be able to cope anyways

LTE is only good if you use excessive data and it doesn't cost you much. In North America, Data is limited to 6-10Gb for $30-60 which is $400-700 per year additional. I will definitely go for I9500 and rely on 3G rather then LTE.

well after having a quick dig around the internet it seems the snpadragon is very much looking like the poormans SOC the gfx engine on the exynos is reporting as putting out 51.2 gflops whereas the adreno 320 is reaching 19.7 gflops , so it doesnt bode well

A7 ultra low power consumption - mainly going to be used by small footprint apps and while browsing android

A15 will be uses for apps that require extra power like games.

The browser should be fine with a7

Tegra 5 looks very promising Kepler GPU 0.0

According to Sammobile UK will be getting both variants of the S4 :S Guess there's still hope as it will be pretty disappointing if the S4 comes to the UK with snapdragon only. I for one have no interest of being ripped off with a LTE plan. Who the hell needs that speed on a phone anyway?? Do these people walk around downloading torrents?!

AnonD-126838, 20 Mar 2013Do show proof of the Snapdragon 600 being (clock for clock)... more And when in the real word are you going to measure anything clock to clock, its like saying a prius has more power then a veryon but only if you limit the veyreon to running on two cylinders.
Full speed in situ comparisons of the chips in question shows the early exynos chips out benching the snapdragon, this is why i was asking the other commentator why he preferred the snapdragon, as looking at it we are getting a new phone with last seasons core instead of the new frontline core other countries are getting

AnonD-123983, 20 Mar 2013so which model is better? Cpu with Exynos 5 Octa?Surely the Exynos version, hands down. You get better peak performance and also much better idle battery saving. The Snapdragon 600 is still a very good processor though, and it's still the fastest implementation of it on the market.

LTE is still a few good years away from broadly available to the public in the UK. I can't even get decent 3g signal in my home town lol

AnonD-126838, 20 Mar 2013Do show proof of the Snapdragon 600 being (clock for clock)... moreDo Google. Generic A15 cores (ARM's basic design) are about 30% faster clock for clock than Krait 300 cores. About 40% faster than older-gen Krait cores and 25% than Krait 400 cores. Qualcomm increased clocks of their Krait 400/Snapdragon 800 units to 2,3ghz to make it comparable with ~1,6-1,8ghz A15 processors.
Samsung surely tweaked these A15 designs, however, just as they did with A9 cores in 4 gen Exynos making that the fastest A9 Cortex-based processor.

Semiaccurate is a good place to read about cores and processors, if not the best. There's a massive thread about A15 vs Krait there.

This is what you get for some silly reviewers saying "ooh a flagship without LTE is a no-no, you need LTE, Nexus 4 with no LTE? -5 to the final score". Most of those reviewers were US/UK based so.. no A15 for those countries.

For those bashing 4G, some of us don't have very good DSL and 3G is currently our only option.

I just hope Snapdragon is almost equal on power/performance.
