I don't care if web page loads one second sooner or later, I would prefer to have faster OS (even though there is small diference) but those four A7 cores save your battery extremly... So all in all definetly Exynos Octa 5!

[deleted post]Well spotted, i completely missed this post, Although I thought Sammobile was a fan site rather then samsung's own site, and so sources are not to be reliable, especially since samsung themselves claim that the uk will NOT get the Octa core variant, but like you said, one of them has to be wrong, but i think i will side with samsung and and expect their release was correct.

the Snapdragon 600 is powerful enough, plus it's clocked higher than the competition who are also using it. On the other hand, Sammy could've had LTE on the Exynos-powered S4 (remember that the LTE-enabled Note 2 uses the same Exynos 4 Quad as the international one), the reason they chose to go with the 600 in my opinion is because they can't provide enough Exynos chips to meet the huge demand. If they experience supply shortages, this could decrease their market share and no company would want that.

Exynos > Snapdragon. Don't care about LTE.

I don't understand why people go for the "extreme" processing power of GS4 where even a dual core clocked at 1.5ghz with 1gig ram can easily do every task on your android phone.
And also, I think manufacturers should focus more on the "smoothness" of the UI/Software first before heading for the beast hardware, am I right?

Troll, 20 Mar 2013Well there is a thing called Root once you root ur phone wi... moreno there is not, at least not that i have ever heard of or seen, and tbh what the hell would you need all 8 cores running at once, even the 4 cores on the s3 where not properly maxed out with current apps, maybe in 18 months time there will be more demanding apps but this phone will be old news by then i cant imagine anyone needing THAT much power in a phone, and hey the battery would be drained in a matter of hours.....

I prefer Snapdragon 600 because of OpenGL ES 3.0 support. I would never buy S4 with Exynos 5 Octa.

Big disappointment. If you are going to give North America a Qualcomm SoC instead of Exynos 5...at least give us the Snapdragon 800. Was really looking forward to the Exynos 5 tho...

Miike Hunt, 20 Mar 2013Question is whether the hardware will let you do that, you ... moreWho cares about temperature, as long the phone snd apps and the net loads in an instant thst whst matters. I dont dam if the phone reaches 45 Celsius just use a cover simple. Every electronic gets heated up so why the complain. Enjoy the V8 engine poeer.

I would go with whichever gives me a better battery life. What's the point of having a super-duper phone if it wont last you through the day and all day you're afraid to use the phone with its bells and whistles because of constant battery shortage!?

Exynos is much better for sure + it has PowerVR SGX544 X3 core, and ask those who used SIII US version "Qualcomm" it doesn't save battery as Exynos version.
Check here in Geekbenchmark "Nexus 10" Dual Exynos A15 is very near to equal this chip S600 Qualcomm Quadcore A15.
Exynos Dual Core A15 1.5GHZ= 2466
S600 Qualcomm Quad Core A15 1.7GHZ = 2535
http://browser.primatelabs.com/android-benchmarks
Difference 70!
BTW Google Underclocked Exynos dual core A15 to 1.5 GHZ in the latest update for saving power, So imagine the Next Exynos will be Quad core A15 1.7GHZ it will be a real beast.

This has annoyed me I really like samsungs galaxy phones but if it doesnt have their exynos processor in the UK Ill have to wait and keep my fingers crossed the Galaxy Note 3 has the Exynos 5 processor in the UK.
I wont settle for less and while htc one looks nice Iv used sense UI and i just dont like it (im not one for installing custom roms either). But credit to build quality
