Sony solves PlayStation 5 supply issues ahead of PSVR2 launch

8pro, 31 Jan 2023Maybe they could warn stores to about selling the PS5 at hi... moreI live in Guyana and the exchange rate from US to Guyana is $209 (at the time of me writing this so it may have changed), so a PS5 for me would cost GYD $83,600, but in Guyana the thing is worth GYD $250,000 which is basically USD $1,196. I looked at the Sony's official website to purchase the PS5 and the digital is still USD $400. So if I was to buy it here in Guyana it would cost me almost triple what it costs in the US.

Because of my job I go a $10,000 discount. So if I was gonna purchase it without my discount I would be paying USD $1244 which is quadruple what it originally costs. So yeah they really need to do something about stores buying it in bulk and then selling ii to consumers who do not do their research and purchase it from them right of the bat. I mean come on I could buy a car with than money let alone a PS5.

The stock being solved is BS. I made a pre-order with Sony Singapore and to be collected at Challenger. Guess what, the stock came, and Challenger did not call me. When I was informed by Sony Singapore to go pick up the PS5 2 days AFTER the stock reached the store, it was already sold to someone else because "the person who pre-ordered did not come collect". Yeah right, I was supposed to know to go collect when no one called me.
And now again it is out of stock. The only place with a mountain load of stock is Korea. Almost every set I see online in Singapore indicates its a Korean parallel import set.
Sony, buck up. Your PS5 is turning old. I had given up on it due to the frustration of waiting. I was only wanting to play FFXVI and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. Guess I will just wait for the PC release. Makes no difference when I already waited 3 damn years to just for a game system.

if they start the support for pc they sell 10x more headsets this is the best headset on the market other headsets still use lcd panels for example oculus pro which is 1500$ uses 90hz lcd panel but sony uses oled panel and they did great job with the controller too

Even on direct.playstation.com site the digital version of the PS5 is not available. (The regular PS5 is available, though, for $599 which is MSRP.)
It's hard to take these people seriously...
