0odle-noodle, 02 Feb 2023what are you on? i need me some of that.A public preference for the look of something is irrelevant to the reality of it where the designer knows what has to be for things to work.
So your point worked against yourself and further proved their point.
What I'm on is called logic. You should try it.

These comments section has been starting to become more toxic than ever with fanboy talks and everything. People who appreciate tech knows what it is about rather than talking bad about something that you haven't even tried out. Stop forming opinions based on specs, and instead try to wait and see/read some reviews, or, using the phone. The design might be similar, but I would rather have improved tech, than having a phone that looks much different and polarising than the previous phone, but doesn't give any meaningful gains. The target demographic of users don't even care too much for these devices designs.
This year, these devices are more about improving the devices from inside, like, sustained performance without throttling, better and more flexible cameras with better autofocus and more accurate exposure, better video capability (attempt to close the gap between iPhones in videos), better software experience.
We are yet to see if they can deliver on these promises, but until then, quit criticising for no reason. People seem offended by the Ultra but not by the vanilla and plus models. Vanilla and Plus models didn't get as much upgrades as I would have liked and I am a bit disappointed by reading the specs, but I want to see how they fare in the real world.

I'll be moving from my S22 Ultra to something I can actually use without a bloody table, and something that has a headphone jack.
Literally nothing the S22 Ultra has, that anyone actually uses, is something that anyone else doesn't. NO ONE uses the Spen. It's a gimmick.

There's barel... moreHow was it based on fanboying when absolutely nobody knew what they where voting for? all the images where stripped of their meta data. And they are valid, because they show what looks the best to the average person.

by your logic, if an architect thinks a building looks good because it includes what they find appealing, but the general public doesn't like the way the building looks, the public's opinion is void because they aren't professionals who design buildings. This is what your argument sounds like.

And the thing is, nobody says pixels have the best cameras in existence, because that's far from the truth, but people say that pixels have the best smartphone cameras because they use a good sensor to take a good image, then the phone processes it to make it an amazing image. And, I've shown a professional photographer images I've taken on my pixel, and he said that they where really impressive for a smartphone, and they where the best hes ever seen from a phone.

The only one fanboying is you, because you cant handle the fact that one phone took better pictures than the rest. I guarantee that if it was an iPhone or a Samsung or whatever brand phone you favorite, you would've agreed that it was the best with no questions asked.

Anonymous, 01 Feb 2023Blind tests by millions of people are irrelevant. It's... moreBlind tests with millions of people show what the public thinks looks better. A photography expert isn't going to be able to determine what the general public likes based off of their own opinion. You sound like a child.

Its like a large amount of consumers saying they don't like the design of a car, but the person who designed it says their opinion is irrelevant because they don't design cars. It sounds stupid, right? because that's exactly what your statement sounds like.
