Lecker, 01 Feb 2023So the same camera setup, only change is the main camera, wow...Snapdragon went from gen 1 to gen 2 also. This is a better upgrade than apple’s regular iPhone 13 to iPhone 14. (Non pro one)

Samsung just trying to push costumers to buy it's foldable series

Exynos 2200 was already monstrous chip, there will be literally no difference between 8gen 2 and exynos 2200 in any day use, gaming will produce 10fps or so higher which again barely anyone will notice. S23 ultra is basically s22 ultra 2023 edition, it's a most measly upgrade you could expect from Samsung and you know why? Because they know most of the world is in shambles and they will sell they less than in 2022 so why bother to put effort, just take same phone add extra price and try to milk as much as possible until 2024 when world will recover or so, more sales more efforts they will put

Wish they could do something with the pinhole still can't stand it.

              The flood begins.

My opinion in the sea of hundreds: honestly, this is fine. Nothing special, nothing groundbreaking, but it's an okay enough step up. But it does still feel like the S22 Ultra... again. The best thing about this is that they're finally getting rid of Exynos in the flagships, and that's all I can really say, because of how few differences there are between the S22U and S23U.

                  Galaxy S22 SE (Snapdragon edition)

AHE, 01 Feb 2023Unexceptional presentation. A lot of padding so far (e.g., ... moreNo more Overheat-xynos, thank God for that, the EU users will no longer suffer anymore

Before people start complaining, lemme remind them that the already an year old S22 ultra won almost every award for the best phone of the year. Whatever little improvement samsung made is worthy of huge respect. I have the s22 ultra and I can vouch that it's a phone from which you can't move on to any other phone other than s23 ultra coz nothing else comes close.

Did Samsung mention 12-bit video in the presentation? Is it shooting RAW video now?

Wizzgamer, 01 Feb 2023Fingers crossed 🤞 the S23 Ultra can finally beat the Puxel ... moreDowngraded wireless charging, downgraded front facing camera, limited ram for the price as you say it should be 12gb minimum for the Ultra, I was hoping for more from this phone, I am waiting for camera comparisons now, hopefully it can be partially redeemed, otherwise I will stick with S22Ultra

Fingers crossed 🤞 the S23 Ultra can finally beat the Puxel 6/7 in the camera department as a phone beating it for less than half the price would be ridiculous like it was for the S22 Ultra. Great to see tsmc manufacturing the cpus now and not Samsung plus a big jump in performance this year as the S22 Ultra was underpowered for it's price regardless of qualcomm or exynoss so never got why the S22 Ultra was considered the best phone when it was underpowered and only had the 3rd best camera. 8GB of ram for £1249 is also ridiculous 12GB of ram should come standard across the board.

How did they manage to overclock the GPU to 719GHz? That's impressive, the battery life not so. /s

Pretty sure Scamsung is just betting on the no-more-Exynos. Those that avoided the S22 Ultra for that reason can now buy one - for more money of course. Also, unfortunately, iPhone Pros now have the better display. I was hoping Samsung would be competitive in this regard, but they're explicitly after the money.

People who have the S22 Ultra should wait another year and get the S24 Ultra. S23 Ultra not worthy of upgrading...

for europeans this is a big upgrade. finally a snapdragon samsung ultra phone. exynos is just nowhere near good enough to be inside of the S series.

New isocell paired with same cheap chinese lenses.
Same screen that lacks latest M material to be used by iphone 15 pro, also it means same 232Hz pwm and 8bit.

Anyway, fanboys care only about peak brightness they can never reach.
