It's for good tbh. Snapdragon 695 is trash anyway. Releasing it just contribute to more e-waste as there are already several Xiaomi phones with Snapdragon 695.

Nobody gives a flying cuck. Poco has become a lackluster Redmi re-hash brand and doesn't have a SINGLE product to offer that makes one want to buy it. In fact, their updates and software support is worse than Xiaomi/Redmi, I do not really understand why they even exist. Unlike the purposeful spin-offs of Vivo & Oppo (Iqoo & Oneplus respectively), Poco is honestly, the most pointless brand to ever exist.

Under Samsung Foundries, there are some SD SoC are originated called SD 888, 888+, 8 Gen 1, 7 Gen 1, 6 Gen 1 etc. Those are ditched the android smartphone market a lot. Then why we need such crap again by Samsung FAB.

More users in this sub-$300 segment prefer 5G over 4K recording. Aside from the lack of 4K recording, the 695 is overall better than the 750G and the also popular 480.

This is why anything phones lesser than SD778 sucks as QC seems to dumb down all the mid-range lineup by making OEMs buy their crappy models, while keeping the new cores only for the SD8 line.

But I'm guessing Qualcomm is selling that chip for cheap, so it will be used a lot by OEMs and be as prevalent in the market like the 625 was.

I repeat again if you all say the 695 is bad but not really, you can usually find this SoC on $300-$500 phones. Here the Poco X5 will run it for around $200.

                              200€ max for this.

"Won't be launched in India." It's probably for the best.

Well unless you live in a cheaper country, then it makes sense.

potato4k, 01 Feb 2023SD695 is today's SD625.Maybe when looking at how many phones use it, but 695 is a poor chip compared to 625.

I mean 625 is old, and in cheaper phones and had 4K recording support which the 695 lacks.

695 lacks a lot of stuff that made 625 good, unless you only care about 5G which 625 didn’t support.

695 is such a mediocre chip I rather advice people to get a older phone instead, just a week ago I saw Motorola G200 go for €220 new and Edge 30 Pro for €479, rather save some money and get that instead of any phone with trashy SD695.

(and there are other better phones too, just mentioned these two only as a example)
