Samsung literally wants to have an "Apple" pricing and image, but is losing itself in the process. I hope they bring back the old Samsung in the Galaxy SIII times. They have their own identity back then. Or perhaps the S6 Edge times.
They want their phones to be a status symbol rather than a tech that most people can afford. Samsung looks a child running for a candy in their battle. At this rate, they'll always "lose", and Apple will still have that advantage (despite literally nothing to up competitors) that they are the ones to be chased after.

Anon, 01 Feb 2023I have to say... Samsung is really greedy now when it comes... moreThe worst part is, they're cutting cost, left right and center. Same old S22 screens without LTPO for the Vanillas (the Plus phone having lesser DPI), the Small one being given UFS 3 storage for the 128 GB, Skimping out on the Haptic motors. I had high hopes, but not buying one mostly. Will get the pre-order booking refunded. Too expensive for last years phones, just slightly more polished.
The S20 FE 5G still seems like a fantastic buy with the Snapdragon 865 and similar screen + similar lackluster haptic sensor.

The Chinese are making phones that are still very good to use yet don’t cost quite as much to buy as Scamsung & Flopple are selling them for.
Even the likes of Motorola are easily filling the price gap with good handsets that Samsung is leaving between mid range & flagship.

Those prices.
Mi 13 ultra with Leica optics will be 1/3 cheaper and way Way WAY better.
Oneplus 11 will cost 1/3 maybe 1/4 of tis price and will be equally good.
Moto X40 will cost 1/3 price of S23 Ultr for equally good device excluding samsung bloatware. Thanks god.
And if ever Redmi 12 discovery will come to EU its going to be best midranger at its pricing.
There are many else phones which going to be WAY betetr than S23 ultra.
Hence Samsung is othing just a brand name and china made quality just like Apple.

I have to say... Samsung is really greedy now when it comes to their price tag for the S line's (S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra). They took the advantage to put together a 200MP, 50MP and a 10MP lenses (for the S23 ultra), while they still stick with the ordinary Mega Pixels (for S23 and S23+) + don't forget that you can only get the maximum amount of GB by choosing the three series (no extra slot for the micro sd card anymore and won't be back in the future). I myself would go to choose another brand than Samsung (because they are money greeders who are constant hunger for our money and doesn't care about us customers anymore, these phones are targeted to younger richer adults who has a better job and know that this people will pay for it a lot). And my last part is there isn't a huge difference with the batteries just smarter process by shrinking it to the lowest nanometer as possible which makes it use lesser power consumption (depending on what you would use the Samsung S series for).

No, just No.
They have done the exact same as what Apple did there last update, the phones were practically the same except for the Dynamic Island stuff but the prices increased across the board.
I think more in Europe and the UK would’ve happily bought these especially if they were cheaper, The Snapdragon addition across all models only interests the tech nerds not the every day consumers especially with many other essentials increasing in cost from food & energy etc.
You could buy a Galaxy A54 to save cash when it’s released but then you start sacrifice to much from the top end, perhaps Samsung will offer another Fan Edition model but by the time they bring that out the S-series is then discounted in many places.

NONE.
Not a single thing is in that phone is worth that much. Not chipset nor camera....
Phones that cost more than 800 bucks are like games filled with microtransactions or paid DLCs. And people complain why so much games are like that... when they buy them like that...
The same here. People buy phones like that and complain later why they cost so much... just dont buy it straight away, as they drive price x2 to catch ldiots, just get last year flagship or wait month or two... and if you want to flex with newest device... you have some issues and phone will not fix it, especially when no one is impressed
