I bought S22 256gb 3 weeks before the launch of S23 series at Rs. 52,999. The 128gb was even less on online stores. Bang for buck, cannot beat this (if you want to stay with Android).

Ki124, 05 Feb 2023My previous phone was Asus Zenfone & it came with Close... moreWell had Moto X4 for like 4 years now a daughter of my neighbour uses it for 2 years it still perfectly working even its updates are long time gone.
Motorola updates are maybe bad but since its pure android experience it doesnt matter because phone is very smooth compared to Samsung where after first time setup abnd updating everything that forces you to install tons of samsung apps which you cant delete mostly put only on deep sleep. Runiing system settings and number of apps on a Motorola and Samsung shows a huge difference in number of apps which runs on your device.
Those samsung apps cost at least 6GB disk space and another 2-3GB of ram.
So i know how you feel.
To me all phones should come with stock android or pure android experience and everything else should be as optional where you can tick to install or skip.
Maybe Oneplus 11 will be good for you or Moto X40 if came global.
Google Pixel is just as you said. THere arent many phones i can suggest to you and there arent many with adroid one thing either.
Missing good old times of Xiaomi A2 which wasnt costly had great specs and no skin or UI.

luvnvnvd, 04 Feb 2023Really?? Doesn't make sense s22 and s23 camera way di... moreSamsung doesn't reduce prices of their previous phones that much in india.
S21 never came below 40k.
It was S21FE that sold for 32k in Flipkart BBD sales.

AnonD-731363, 04 Feb 2023Man if you dont want bloatware buy Motorola, Nokia, Oneplus... moreMy previous phone was Asus Zenfone & it came with Close to Stock UI.So i know how much better Stock UIs feel without any bloatware or unnecessary apps.
Even after having a low-midrange SD636 & after 4 years phone felt noticeably slow but still there were no lags,it was running smooth till the end.
For my new purchase i wanted Stock UI & more importantly long software support atleast 2-3 years of OS updates.
But sadly there aren't that many good phones that fulfill my requirement.
Motorola is good at hardware but their Software upgrade policy is literally worst.
Nokia isn't available in my country.
Pixels are buggy after new updates & pathetic service centre coverage.
Nothing 1 is looking good but because of many users facing hardware issues earlier & inconsistent behaviour with updates so i stayed away from Nothing 1 as well.
So my last option was obviously Samsung.
I've used Galaxy Tab as my previous tablet & i know how to get best out of a Samsung UI.So i finally chose S22.
But probably as my next device i'll be inclined to buy future Nothing phone as company is making promising progress or Motorola if they improve their poor software upgrade policy.

Seems like samsung's plan is to simply discount and keep making the S22 instead of releasing a S22 FE.

Ki124, 04 Feb 2023Since S22 & S23 are mostly similar devices & S23 is... moreMan if you dont want bloatware buy Motorola, Nokia, Oneplus with Oxygen OS, Nothing phone or any other free from RAM very hungry UI phone such as ones i mentoided.
From all brands with UIs Samsung is worst because it forces customer to have a really slow device full of tons of useless bloatware which mostly you got anyway from google and usually better. Just like google chrome instead of Samsung brownser.

Ki124, 04 Feb 2023Since S22 & S23 are mostly similar devices & S23 is... moreReally?? Doesn't make sense s22 and s23 camera way different. . At 49k it's still over priced. S21 justified the rprice during sale at 34k. Which was still better then s22. S22+ at 50-53k still ok. . Over rpriced phones . .

Also My Brother has purchased S22 in Flipkart BBD sales.
He is heavy user & uses always 5G with Display set to 120Hz & he gets 5-6 hours of SOT.
Not Battery champ in any means but still good enough for such small phone.
But Samsung needs to work on endurance.
Currently Zenfone 9 has the longest endurance among Compact flagships.

Since S22 & S23 are mostly similar devices & S23 is significantly expensive than S22.
So it makes much more sense to just buy S22 now.
It gives similar Samsung flagahip experience.
I bought S22 for 49k few days ago.
I was skeptic about its battery life & heating because of SD8G1.
I uninstalled/Disabled/put most of pre-installed Samsung apps to Deep Sleep mode.
& Using phone in power saving mode...it locks Display at 60Hz & limit CPU Clock speed to 70%.
Still with the Power saving mode it scored 1100 & 2700 in Geekbench Single & multicore respectively.means it's still in flagship territory & more than enough powerful.
I can enjoy daily content in 60Hz so its not big deal to miss 120Hz for me.
Whenever i feel the need of Smooth Animations i turn-off power saving mode,it switches screen to 120Hz again.
& now with these small tricks i'm getting 7+ hours of SOT with my S22.
Fully satisfied with the phone.
Found just 2 complains with the phone-
1- OneUI comes with too many pre-installed apps for everything,Samsung should reduce it or give option while setup to install these apps or not.
2- Camera is good in everything except while on magnification images lack fine details & texture.
