Why are they wasting resources on something nobody asked them for? Especially, knowing that the end product will be inferior anyway.

They're cooking a fusion nuclear reactor this time.

Haha, that would be another quirk smartphone companies did not came up with yet: switching between SD and Exynos for the entire line up every other year ;-)
At least totally democratic, both camps would be supplied at least every second year...
But most likely this will be for Pixels...

you have to suffer, 07 Feb 2023the note 9 always runs on 1440p hdr. so thats probably why,... moreNope. You can change the resolution on Samsung phones. I have an Exynos Note 9 and the first thing I did was reduce the resolution to Full HD.

No problems when using the phone to watch videos or browse web, read ebooks etc.

But when I play games the problems start.

Phone still overheats when playing CoDm on low graphics. Can play a couple of MP matches but not BR.

I can play Into the Dead 2 on Max graphics for around 15-20 minutes.

Funnily enough, some old games (like Assassin's Creed Pirates, which was realeased in 2013) still cause it to heat up.

I just bought a new S20 FE 5G 256/8GB green mint for 2 main reasons:
              - Snapdragon 865 is the last high-end CPU that doesn't overheat. Everything after it can cook an egg. That's what everyone seems to be complaining about. Maybe 8G2 is better, I wouldn't know .
              - SD CARD SLOT
I definitely miss the 3.5mm jack because I can't listen to wired headphones and charge the phone at the same time ... Which SUCKS!
I intentionally skipped the S20+ because of Exynos (I'm from Europe) and the S21 FE because of no SD card slot.

Here we go again, once more knowing what they will do, and one more praying, most likely again pointlessly, that it at least matches SD chip.

If Exynos ever comfortably beats SD I will buy Samsung phone with it solely as a sign of respect, also because chances of it happening are minimal.

YouTube "reviewers" will be ecstatic for their clickbait videos once device is launched, but all will be revealed with due time just as it was with Exynos 2200

I don't really mind much about having 10 CPU cores since Intel made laptop CPUs with 10 or more cores. It's the overall optimization that I anticipate the most, especially thermal management.

Please dont use a Exynos CPU... Im a EU customer and love the Snapdragon in the S23 Ultra. The power management is perfect. It feels like a iPhone but with Android! Im never gonna switch back to Exynos hell no.
