Didn't he also say that the iPhone is outdated? The man is defending his brand so let him bask in his so called glory. I'm a Blackberry user and would not upgrade to a BB10, all about Android now.

BB is lot stable as compared to fragmented Android. WP is growing towards stability & IOS is in competition as per Enterprise. Still Corporates prefer BB vs any other platform!!

Heyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of you kind attention please,
Mr. Heins created a controversy here between us and it will re-think the average users to switch over to BB10. I guess that may be hidden agenda behind it. There was a good effort from BB for OS10, but they were late in the pace.
Now I consider few OS in the competition, Android, Windows phone, iOS, BB OS10. No doubt Android has the highest popularity because of its easy to use menu & customising options. This popularity gave large number of applications from variety of developers for its users.
I was waiting for WP8 but it dissappointed me in terms of functions, GUI, so I bought a Android ICS device. It has limited no's of applications.
Now iOS, its a device for fashion, gaming & fancy.
BB OS10 is fresh for BB users & not for others.
Now here is the statement quoted "Android and Windows Phone as not sharing his vision of a "mobile computing future" where mobile devices could be used for the same tasks as computers".
I understand from the statement that, he is going to devolop an OS which is unique & it can be used in mobile phones as well as in computer. Now Android is not doing this & windows phone cannot be used in their computers.
But there is a project running at Ubuntu, they say their OS will be unique in mobile as well as computer. Mr. Heins didnt mention Ubuntu, so I guess he knows.
As of now, Android rules & BB OS10 has no merits to overrule it.
Mr. Heins,,,,,,,,,,,You are under risk!!

Android and Windows Phone aren't mobile computing platforms? Who the hell is this clown?
How about you concentrate on helping your own brand survive instead of speaking crap about others.
BB10 is the worst OS in mobile computing, Nothing innovative, just re-hashed ideas to make them look like they're keeping up..
Jump ship people, Blackberry's bandwagon is losing its wheels.

It's sad to hear a CEO make such comments, but Mr. Heins should realize that nobody's paying attention to him. Androids popularity speaks for itself and it will take a miracle to turn around Blackberry's misfortune.

Alot of you people are so mis informed. I used every mobile OS except for iOS and WebOS. People who say WP is not as good or better then the rest is only because of apps. Because Android has apps its considered "better". If BB10 had as many or more apps as Android then is would be "better" then android. WindowsPhone is a beast. doesnt need monster specs every 6 months to be useful. Nokia/HTC/Samsung have implented there own style of applications/Suites and features into there own brand. Motorola/Samsung/Sony/HTC android device or just skins. Way to dominate with out doing much.

BBINZ10, 22 Mar 2013Thorsten Heins, Do you think BB10 is 'mobile computing futu... moreyeah, i totally agree. the new bb 10 handset is not within reach for many average users. it seems like only the elites could afford to use it at the time of launch. no wonder in Malaysia i have yet to see a single z10 being carried around. most people are still stuck with 8520s-9300s-9700s-9800s-9900s.

TheNeighbor, 22 Mar 2013Mr. Hein, you should only talk when you delivered the syst... morei second what you said about being productive on the Note 2. Although i've been a hardcore BB-user for years, i actually took back all the bad things i've said about Samsung & android after i got my Note 2. the large real estate alone made me switched (my bold 9900 became as a second phone immediately) plus the ability to put the s-pen in full use.
yeah, i have to admit that after having tried the z10 & comparing it to the note 2, my heart really falls for the note 2. still finding the new bb os as a bit not very user-friendly.
